Madhu was nervous as exited the Airport with her luggage. She was very young when they left India so she didn't remember much. She had informed Roma Bua about her coming to India because of her mother, Padmini's last wish. Her mother sometimes used to tell her about her family but always ended up in tears so Madhu always tried to not bring up any topic related to her family. She was kind of excited to meet all after all he was meeting them after 22 years. They had left for London when she was about 2 years old so didn't remember anyone...suddenly someone broke her thoughts...

"Madhu?" someone patted on her shoulder. She turned around to see a lady a bit shorter than her. She had curly hair and a huge smile across her face.

"Yes I am Madhu...and you are?" she said confused.

The short lady quickly jumped with excitement on her giving her a thigh hug. Now that something which she didn't expect. The lady broke the hug realising what she did...

"sorry...woh mein...thora excite ho gayi thi...ooh yh hey I am Roma."

"Oh so your Roma Bua..." even Madhu had a smile on her face.

"Please don't call me BUA..." she said emphasizing Bua. "Do I look that old? Just Roma is fine ok?

Madhu couldn't help but grin and nodded her head in agreement.

"Ok come, everyone is waiting at home, we can continue talking in the car."

The driver took her luggage and placed it safety in the shining white Audi after he held open the door for them both to sit in.

(In the car)

"So how did you recognise me?"

"Well it was simple...you look like you mother a lot...just like her...very beautiful."

Madhu was pleased to hear that. They continued talking with Roma asking loads and loads of questions to Madhu. She was like a desperate child who wanted to know everything she thought.

They reached their destination within an hour. She was stunned by the beauty that was in front of her. To say that the mansion was incredible would be an understatement. Never in her life had Madhu seen grass so green or a house as tall. As she got out of the car she could see a pool next to at the side of the magnificent mansion. The autumn light reflected on the water of the pool, cleverly concealed behind a cluster of oak trees. Madhu was mesmerized by the entwined ivy that snaked up the side of marble wall of imposing height. The staircase that led to the door was decorated with two grandiose statues of lions, placed each side. The path led up to the staircase had a resplendent garden growing both sides. Vibrant blues, yellows and reds shone in the clusters of flowers. Madhu's hand brushed the smooth railing of the grand staircase as she climbed it.

"Madhu why did you stop?"

"Feeling nervous Roma...wish Maa was here."

"Hey Madhu...Padmini will always be in you and I am here with you na?"

Madhu nodded and took a deep breath as Roma held he hand and led her inside.

There was a large central hallway which flowed into a large, wide staircase that provided the main means of egress from the entertainment area of the house to the private rooms on the second floor. The interior of the house was very modern with many different original painting hanging of the walls. Everything that was displayed had very light shades of colour. Madhu was really impressed with inside of the mansion just the same as the outside. She always knew that her father was a very rich and successful business man, but never in her dreams would she think this rich!

She saw someone was approaching her from the side and quickly turned. She could easily tell that they were her grandparents. Madhu immediately bend down to take their blessings and both of them caressed her head smilingly. Her Daadi quickly hugged her once she stood up straight. She could feel the motherly love again from her which brought tears in her eyes.

"Madhu beta..." her Daadi caressed her face which she had been waiting for years to see. She also had tears in her eyes which Madhu rapidly wiped away with her hand.

"Roma, please show Madhu her room she must be exhausted from the long travel. Beta go freshen up and then we will have lunch together and I'll introduce you to the rest." Said her Daadu caringly.

Roma led her to her new room. Madhu was just amazed, her room must be twice the size of her old one back in London. Not that it was small over there. It was huge but nothing compared to this one.

"WOW!!!" was the only word she could let out.

"You like it?"

"Like it? Are you kidding me...I love it!" she said excitingly, "so who do I share it with?"

"Share? Are you joking this is your room...only yours!" she rapidly replied back to her.

"Really! You mean this King size bed only for me?" she said as she comfortably sat on her new bed.

"Yes Madhu everything here is yours." Roma said shaking her head whilst exiting her room.

After she left Madhu quickly sat up and took out her bath robe rushed to the bathroom to have a shower.

Meanwhile two people entered her room. They looked both about the same age...18. One was a boy while the other one was a girl. They both heard the shower so they decided to wait for her...

Once Madhu came out adjusting her robe both of them shamelessly started to stare at her.

"Gosh is she pretty!!" said the girl.

"Yh...indeed never seen such a beauty!" replied the boy.

"Hey ? may I know who you two are and what are you guys doing in my room?" Madhu asked who was feeling uneasy.

"Oh sorry... I am Anjali and this is my idiotic twin Adi...short for Aditya." Said Anjali with a smile.

"Hey!! That's not a good way to introduce your bro!" said Aditya giving his sister a glare.

"Well, you know the lady who received you..."

"Yh Roma.."

"She is our Mom..." replied Adi

"Really she didn't tell me that she had children... btw I am Madhu...short for Madhubala." She said with a smile feeling more comfortable.

"Well Mom has been really excited ever since you called her that you're coming...that she just forgot she too has children..." said Anjali jokingly.

Madhu smiled. She knew she would have fun here with these two around.

"Oh yh before I forget...Naanu is calling you downstairs for lunch...-"

"-you must be starving Di" interrupted Adi.

Di...now that's something new' thought Madhu. Nobody ever called her that but it felt good, good to have someone.

"Your right...am totally starving!!!" Madhu replied rubbing her tummy. She looked adorable, just like a little child with that little action of hers.

"Madhu Di please change and come down fast! Rohan uncle is still waiting to meet you" said Anjali whilst leaving the room, and of course dragging her brother along.

Madhu quickly changed into something casual, a simple white top with a pair of blue jeans she made her way downstairs to the dining table. Madhu had seen the dining table when she came so she figured out how to reach there.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for Madhu to come. Rohan still had to meet his niece and so like an impatient child kept on looking around for her arrival. Finally she was came, approaching them with a wide smile that had the most perfect straight teeth. She had high cheekbones. The way the light hit her, her dark-brown straight hair seemed to glow. Her eyes had their own charm; hazel brown almond shaped eyes that seemed to laugh. She had an hourglass figure. Even after being one of the promising leading fashion designers in future, Madhu kept her looks pretty simple whit just a light touch of make-up.

"WOW! How can someone look this stunning?" whispered Anjali, jaw dropped.

"Well I can tell you someone will be fuming in jealousy seeing her..." Adi replied his Sis looking at Deepali, who indeed was fuming. They both let out a small giggle trying not to make it to obvious.

As Madhu approached the table she recognised most of them as she had already met them but there were two other girls and a man who had huge smile on his face. He immediately got up and walked towards Madhu.

"Madhu...kitni bari ho gayi hai meri bachi!" with saying that he kissed her forehead. "Pehchana mujhe? Meh tumhara Rohan uncle hu.." he then hugged her to which Madhu also responded. Breaking the hug he held her hand and led her to the table where she side hugged both her grandparents. She raffled with Adi's hair as he pointed to a free seat between him and Anjali. He was so adorable she thought. As she pulled out the chair Rohan said "Meet Deepali...my daughter. She is just a few months older than you.." Madhu gave a smile. "Hey Deepali...I am Madhubala" she said waving her hand and sat down.

"And Madhu that's Tri-"

"Roma am starving can we eat first please" she said interrupting her. Madhu very well knew now who she was, how could she not know. She was the girl who ruined her mother's life...she took away her family her happiness all from her mother.

Trishna felt bad the way her older sister just ignored her.

They all started to eat and Madhu could just not stop. She was having such good food after month now. Ever since her Mother was in hospital the maid made their food which was not even half as good as hers. They kept on talking as they ate. Madhu had a melodious laugh. After such a long time she was actually laughing. Everyone was enjoying and well Deepali was just burning with every glimpse of Madhu.

"Did you notice that Adi? Madhu Di, didn't even once look at Trishna Di let alone talk!"

"Maybe she just forgot...you know na that she had a long journey...she must be tired that's why." assumed Adi shoving her doubts away.

"No I think it's something else...Madhu Di has been so nice to everyone...she can't just have not noticed her." Anjali pointed out.

"Ok let's introduce them two to get rid of these stupid ideas in your tiny brain." Laughed Adi off as he quickly ran towards Trishna to get her and Anjali went to get Madhu who was talking to Rohan.

"Madhu Di meet...Trishna Di!" said Adi in excitement. Madhu just looked at her with full hate which made Trishna feel uncomfatable. Everyone went silent. Roma, Rohan, her grandparents just looked at them hoping for the best. Adi broke the silence.. "Di she is your sist-"

"Madhu beta...apne Papa se nahi milogi?" said a voice interrupting him. Everyone moved their glances towards the door. Madhu also turned around to face him where a tall man with a briefcase in one of his hand and his black coat on in the other. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt with a black waistcoat on top.

"It's Madhu-BALA for you Mr.Malik!" she said harshly.
