Someday I will add missing drabbles to this thread...but until then, feel free to read and comment on what's here :) 😳

So sometimes I get a bit crazy and write sloppy floppy things, mostly for the AbhiGya AT. A whole lot of them have built up so this will be the place to find them all together, and I will probably have more to add as the tracks get crazy and/or frustrating!

A drabble is usually defined as a 100-word story; these are not exactly drabbles, and many are mostly dialogue, but because I am lazy I am calling them all drabble...ish :P

i saw a prompt on OT3Prompts at tumblr - "Imagine your OTP trying to keep their relationship a secret but falling victim to the ladle trap" - and then i looked up the ladle trap, it basically means someone who suspects the relationship between two people hides an object in one person's bed, and then when that person complains they can't find the object, it's proof that they're actually sleeping in the other person's bed :P

i know it's silly to write a story like this for abhigya b/c they're already married so if they did have a physical relationship why hide it, but still, i couldn't resist :P



abhigya drabble: "indu daasi is a detective too"

now i am imagining abhigya on honeymoon...not the bedroom part, but the touristing in exotic locales part...pragya wants to overtip all the serving people and go to the nature preserves, abhi wants to lie on the beach with his shades all day...pragya buys a new swimsuit and wishes she was daring enough for a bikini but abhi gets heart palpitations from her simple one piece...pragya finally drags abhi out to for a swim and then they get romantic away from the shore...but not too romantic because that's uncomfortable 😆 😳

imagine that tanu tells abhi i'm pregnant, it's yours, i'll only keep it if you marry me
(whether she actually is or not is irrelevant b/c this is just about abhi's initial reaction - but since this is in my head, she's not really pregnant, it's just a chaal :P)
abhi is in turmoil, how to break it to daadi
he wants the baby but he's not sure about marrying tanu

so then without thinking he starts this conversation

a-what would you do if i got you pregnant
p-WHAT
a-just say hypothetically we...made a mistake and there was a consequence. and i told you i still didn't want to stay married to you?
p-really? you would still divorce me if we were going to have a baby? *shocked and disappointed*
a-just let's say hypothetically what would you do
p-i guess...i would go away and have my baby. i would hope you'd eventually get over yourself and try to have a relationship with the child but if you didn't want it i wouldn't force you to be involved.

p-yes

CLOSET SHENANIGANS - a quick sketch in the life of happily married AbhiGya ;)

*abhigya are happily married after ~8 months of MUs and nonsense*

*abhigya have only been getting physical for a few weeks*

*it's festival time and abhigya are getting dressed in the closet...now they can be in it at the same time*

*abhi turns to pragya for help buttoning up his sherwani but pragya has other ideas*

*pragya starts to have her way with abhi amidst all the clothes*

*abhi is lattu*

*daadi arrives outside the closet* bahu!! abhi!! kiddhar gayab ho gaya? aren't you two ready yet?!

*abhigya freeze in chagrin*

*abhi whispers* what now chashmish what do we do

*pragya whispers* shhh if she doesn't hear us she will go away

*daadi comes closer to closet* pragya beta? do you need help with your sari? shall i come in?

*pragya calls out* N-NO-NO daadi!! i am coming! *facepalms* i mean, i will be done soon! *blushes* i mean, i don't need help daadi!

*daadi answers* ok but jaldi karo naa beta, i have this necklace for you, i will wait until you come out

*pragya stutters* no that's ok daadi!! you can just leave it! or i will find you in your room, 5 minutes pakka!

*abhi grumbles* what 5 minutes *irritable*

FAULT

"Right. Right. It's my fault she can't get work on her own talents. It's my fault she never tried to make a bond with Daadi. It's my fault you gave into Aaliya's stupid plotting for this revenge marriage. Everything is my fault, right? Then no, I don't feel bad. I'm not ashamed. She had her chance with you and she didn't take it. If she's changing her mind now, it's not because she really wants to be with you. It's because she's desperate and selfish. Do you think she really wants to be your wife, your life partner? Do you think she could ever understand, let alone handle, the responsibility of being a bahu in this family? Do you think she even cares that being your wife means learning to adjust to all your relatives, living here with them because you can't bear to be away from Daadi? Yes of course, it's all my fault."

The AT got to talking about how great it would be if Abhi found out Pragya was the one who repaired his guitar before his big concert, just prior to the MMS track...here's one way it could have happened! Written before I saw the episode where Pragya goes to the repair guy's apartment rather than his shop :P

THE GUITAR REPAIR GUY

*abhi is fulminating about that shameless chashmish and her gandhi harkaat*

*chashmish had to pack her bags to visit sarla ma in ignominy*

*everybody knows abhi yelled at pragya for being cheap and phasaoing men and devaluing the sanctity of marriage and causing daadi to faint*

*daadi has bp complications that have nothing to do with pragya's supposed affair, but her health is variable and she can't speak up so everyone thinks it's because of pragya*

*aroras tried to defend pragya but mehras wouldn't listen*

*suresh hung around with a gaping mouth and said nothing useful because he was so shocked, doesn't the world understand he would never look at pragya that way and never intrude on someone else's marriage*

*circle back to abhi fulminating in lonely bedroom missing her like in previous separation track*

*abhi's phone rings*

*repair guy: hello mr mehra, we have the bill for your wife's repair, can you please forward the payment*

*abhi: what?*

*repair guy: the rush job on your guitar, your wife signed the receipt but we need your manager's authorization to finalize it. also tell me where to mail the invoice please, your wife didn't want to wait for it. waise, by the way she's really handy, she could be an accomplished technician in her spare time, did she learn from you?*

*abhi thinking: aalu is not my wife and tanu doesn't know how to do anything useful with her hands, so what the hell is repair guy saying. says to repair guy: what do you mean my wife?*

*repair guy: sir, mrs pragya mehra, she has signed the receipt, and she was at our shop last night helping to restring the guitar. waise sir, it was great doing business with her, we hope you were satisfied with our work*

*abhi remembers how guitar baby miraculously recovered and served him well at the concert. says to repair guy: uhh...yes...pragya mehra? my wife?*

*repair guy is starting to question rockstar abhi's sanity, wonders if he's been doing hard drugs at his concerts, feels bad because his wife is so seedhi saadhi and sweet, but what can you do, bade log toh aise hota hai. says to abhi: yes sir, your wife...*

*abhi is still confused: chashmish? i mean, chashme-pehenewaali? anarkali and long hair and sindoor?*

*repair guy wonders why rockstar abhi needs to describe his wife by her appearance, does he have some confusion about who she is, maybe he is a secret polygamist, oooh maybe he could sell this story to the gossip mags! but no that mrs. pragya was quite nice, he doesn't want to do that to her, and he wants to get more business from abhi. repair guy says: yes, sir, your wife, chashme-pehenewaali. she got your guitar fixed, i guess she didn't get a chance to tell you as she was not going with you. sir, do you have a business manager we can finalize this invoice with?*

*abhi says: yes yes talk to aakash here's his number...*

*repair guy says: pleasure doing business with you sir, next time please visit us with your wife*

*abhi says: uh...yeah*

*phone call ends...abhi wonders about chashmish...she fixed guitar baby, he owes her...but then the very next day she got busy with suresh in his bedroom, didn't she stay home on bahana to do just that? but then why did she go out of her way to fix guitar baby...and if she was up at late hours with the guitar guy, maybe that's why she was tired and sick the next day...waise who is this guitar guy, he sounded kind of young and overly appreciative of the chashmish, he better go to the shop himself next time and make sure no one is chance-maroing at his biwi...his biwi, damn it, now he has to go get her and unsay all those things...and daadi what about daadi...*

*abhi is consternated*

*abhi realizes eventually that chashmish will forgive him and all will be well...he won't even have to say sorry, he'll just indicate he knows about the guitar bill, and she will understand...now he has to go get her and see about daadi...and make sure that double battery stays the hell away from his house, he'll get a better tutor for bunty and babli*
