guys here is some random thing i started writing last week before we knew how abhi was gonna respond to tanu proposal. i think tia or someone on AT mentioned he would blame pragya for not being able to marry her so that's where i started.

don't know where to go from here 😕

"And it's because of you that I can't marry her," Abhi concluded, favouring her with one of his familiar glares.

Pragya felt somehow like she was trembling, though her body was perfectly still. Suddenly it seemed impossible to answer him a normal voice. Disappointment and regret washed through her, closing her throat and bringing an annoying tide of tears to her eyes.

She blinked and forced those tears not to fall. Finally she managed to say in a low voice, "I didn't force you to marry me." Then she turned to walk away from him, unable to bear his presence for a moment longer.

"Hey!" He walked ahead of her and closed the bedroom door, putting his back to it so that she had no way out. "I'm not done talking to you, Chashmish."

She stepped away from him and crossed her arms, trying to find steadiness on her feet as her mind slid further and further into emotional chaos. "What is there left to say?" she replied emotionlessly. She didn't have any energy left in her to put up an angry or defensive front.

"You don't feel even a little bit bad. Because of you she's losing her career and has to live with loneliness. She deserves to have the world's respect as my wife, but I can't give that to her. You worked your magic on Daadi and now -"

"Right. Right. It's my fault she can't get work on her own talents. It's my fault she never tried to make a bond with Daadi. It's my fault you gave into Aaliya's stupid plotting for this revenge marriage. Everything is my fault, right? Then no, I don't feel bad. I'm not ashamed. She had her chance with you and she didn't take it. If she's changing her mind now, it's not because she really wants to be with you. It's because she's desperate and selfish. Do you think she really wants to be your wife, your life partner? Do you think she could ever understand, let alone handle, the responsibility of being a bahu in this family? Do you think she even cares that being your wife means learning to adjust to all your relatives, living here with them because you can't bear to be away from Daadi? Yes of course, it's all my fault."
