R: Well when I went to Masi's house last weekend, Mausa brought her flowers when he came home from the market and they hugged even though I was watching.

He doesn't know it's a fake pregnancy or marriage. Tanu's claims about Abhi loving her give him doubt that maybe AbhiGya are lying to their families.

Why didn't he explain this to Tannu first? Why would AbhiGya randomly claim Pragya is pregnant though.
It doesn't make sense to me.
If Nikhil wants Abhi to let Tannu go, what better than telling him he is not the baby daddy?? Or is he thinking Abhi loves Tannu so much despite having a pregnant wife he would rather be with Tannu pregs with someone else than his own child with his wife??

His point is to make Tanu face reality. If Abhi's wife is pregnant he probably doesn't love Tanu and he likely won't ditch his wife, no matter what Tanu says. Nikhil understands this and he wants Tanu to be forced to face the truth too.

Yes the best thing would be to tell Abhi his truth, but he doesn't want Abhi to let Tanu go as much as he wants Tanu to let Abhi go and to choose him. Thus my argument that he doesn't care about the baby in and of itself, but only as a hook on Tanu. If his priority was the baby, he'd claim it in front of Abhi, consequences be damned. Since his goal is Tanu, he's playing odd schemes instead.
