Hi Abhay,
Beautiful pictures of chattris. Thanks so much for sharing!

Seems like Rajputana (and Jain and Bengali also) influences were prominent on the architecture of FS. 😊 Was this due to the architect (Tuhir Das?) or due to the MUZ?

I want to know a few more things, please. 😊

I believe FS was abandoned sometime in the 1580s (?) by the Mughals. Then why were Akbar and the MUZ again brought to this city and buried here? Did they express any wish to be buried here?

Did AKbar build his mausoleum even while he was still living in FS or later, after abandoning the city?

Why is the MUZ mausoleum separate from that of Akbar, considering they were so close?

And even if it's separate, it's pretty simple compared to Akbar's mausoleum. Why is this so? Dd the MUZ herself approve of the design of her mausoleum or was it built later (after her death) by someone else?

Hey Abhay,

So this is wat u meant by Chatris. I was literally taking it as keeping an umbrella or building one near MUZ's tomb.

And are they real pics of MUZ's tomb? The underground chamber looks very plain. Since I didnt visit any of the tombs underground, I was wondering if all were the same? Was the decoration and beautification done only on the upper level?

Thanks so much for the pics👏. MUZ's tomb is beautiful too😃.

I hv a Q which I forgot to ask u before, Do u rmbr Abdul shown in the initial episodes? He was shown very close to Jalal. I dnt think there is a proper ending shown for him in the serial and I am curious to kno as to wat happened to him? Is this character really existed? If yes, can you share information as to who is and wat he s to Akbar and wat happened to him?

I am sorry if you have already covered this info earlier, I cudnt find it in ur threads, so posting here😃

Yes, Jaziya and Pilgrimage Tax, both are different taxes and Akbar banned them at different times.

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/jodha-akbar/3848936/mughals-ja-real-is-not-fiction-pt4-author-tms-note-on-pg1-and-91

Jaziya - was a tax on Zimmi subjects / Non-Muslims ONLY.
Pilgrimage tax - another tax, collected from Hindu pilgrims, when they entered their religious sites.

Yes, Jaziya is one of the taxes which has the sanction of the Islamic Holy Law - Shariat.
There was NO fixed rate of levying Jaziya. It was collected on an annual basis. 😊

@All..Will respond to your queries soon.

Do not underestimate the chronicles. The moment you HIT the right place, you will find it difficult how to read the entire information. It will be tough to handle. Though, i agree with you, information about every prince or princess of a royal family is not available. Still, little bit information is present in the royal archives of almost every kingdom.😊

@Blue
This is NON-SENSE. Hakim-Shivani story..😕..("till date", i did not came across such info.)
I feel it will be a short-lived event. Nothing like this will/should happen.

@Pink
As i told you before also, i do not know the names. Still, let me tell you, Jodha had around 6 more brothers, apart from those shown on the show. They will come in future, as they fought for Akbar. You never know, what COULD Reality have been.!!... That's why, i try finding first, before rejecting.😊

Everything is not written in Akbarnama and Jahangirnama...Mughal History is a far far BIG subject. The type of events i keep encountering make me think like this.

Did you feel Humayun will ever have a look-alike..? He had actually...!!...This is one of biggest shock for me till date..

This is mentioned in my Part-2 thread- Akbar Ruqayya...
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/95903050
Ruqs MC track is on page-10...of this part..

And many future events, will be tough to believe. Just wait..

@Brown
It's not that such things happened with them only (if it happened..?...)
Ok. Try finding something about a daughter of Shah Jahan.😉

History hides things very nicely. You will get to know soon.😊

I got an idea from this hum-shakal theory. Why can't Maham get a hum-shakal of Jalal and place him on the throne and kill the real Jalal? It would save her a lot of trouble in making so many conspiracies.

(I once read a book like this in which the KGB replaces the American first lady with a Russian look-alike spy. 😆)

Abhay a big thank you and hug for digging so much of information on Chatris and also the last rites of Royal hindu family. The pictures at MUZ grave are quite revealing may be they had done both for her as a grave and chattri are in the premises.

Kabir also a great reformist poet of those times they say when he passed away both hindu and muslim followers fought to perform last rites as per their tradition it seems his body disappeared and flowers were found instead and these were divided among themselves and they performed last rites accordingly. Probably someone must have replaced the body

Wonder what happened in the case of MUZ as her son was the emperor when she passed away.

WHAT I FEEL ABOUT THIS IS THAT MUZ ,MUST HAVE HAD HER LAST RITES AS MAYBE A MUGHAL BUT HER SON STILL FOLLOWED HER HINDU ANCESTARY AND BUILD A CHATTRI...IT SHOWS THAT AKBAR AND SALIM REALLY CARED ABT HER AND HER SENTIMENTS.

First, would like to inform you that we are highly skeptical of the matter on wikipedia/Internet/Digital domain. So, informing you to use it carefully.😊

About your question,
First, a correction, It was NOT Din-i-llahi originally , but Tauhid-i-llahi.

Tauhid-i-llahi
means Divine Monotheism. Abul Fazl and Badayuni have used this word only in the accounts. After Akbar's death, after 80 years, the word Tauhid was replaced by Din.

{Guys, P.S., this "change" again occured during reign of Aurangzeb..!🥱..(another example.!.)}

Din means faith. Tauhid-i-llahi, was the "real order" of Sufi type. Now, meaning changed to Divine Faith. Earlier, it was Divine Monotheism. So, it was not called a 'faith' initially. !

Yes, Bhagwan Das and Man Singh, did not gave acceptance for this "new path" . Bhagwan Das said i know only 2 creeds - Hindus and Mussalmans,and did not accept. Man Singh was invited, but could/did not attend.
There was NO deterioration in their relations due to this. 😊

P.S. ---> I have not used the word "religion" for this..

history-geek ur name will go down the history, fr entertaining our qustns. with such an enthu, n patience👏My qstn is I hv recently read that Mirza hakim was defeated by Maan singh.If this is true, why n when did the difference between Akbar n his half bro came abt?I am doubtful, the shivani incident has any holding in the history😆 2. I remember u had written jodha seem to hv been creamated.Why then in the serial they hv shown their tomb during soul talking? I remember to hv seen their tombs nearby each other in Sikri .3. Somebody frm hv said Ruqs tomb being in Kabul.Why on earth she went to Kabul to die?😲 Any other begum did hv child frm Akbar? I had lost ur tread, n was confused, that'why so many questns😃
