Celina Jaitly breaks silence on abuse allegations, seeks legal justice and compensation

Celina Jaitly has shared a deeply personal note as she continues her legal battle against her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag, in a domestic violence case. The actor recently approached the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri, accusing him of cruelty, manipulation and abuse, while seeking compensation of fifty crore rupees for the loss she says she has suffered. Her petition also includes additional financial claims related to the alleged emotional and physical harm.

In her latest post on X, Celina spoke about the emotional toll the case has taken on her. She wrote that she never imagined she would be navigating such a storm on her own, without her parents or a support system. “I never thought there would come a day without all the pillars on which the roof of my world once rested,” she said, adding that she felt abandoned by people she trusted.

She described this phase of her life as one where everything she depended on fell apart, yet she managed to hold herself together. “Promises I believed in broke in silence. But the storm did not drown me. It delivered me,” she wrote, calling herself a soldier’s daughter raised on courage, discipline and resilience. She added that her focus now is on her children, her dignity and justice for her late brother.

Celina also expressed gratitude to her legal team at Karanjawala and Co, calling them the shield she needed in a moment when she felt most vulnerable. Since the matter is under judicial consideration, she avoided sharing more details and requested the media to approach her lawyers for official statements. She ended her note by promising to rebuild her life, writing, “Here is to the year I rise higher than the storm.”

Celina married Peter Haag in 2010. The couple has three sons: twins Winston and Viraaj, born in 2012, and Arthur, born in 2017. One of her sons, Shamsher, passed away shortly after birth due to a heart condition.

In her complaint, Celina alleged emotional, physical and financial abuse, claiming that Peter called her a derogatory slur in front of their children and demanded expensive gifts at the time of their marriage.
