it's thanks to doctor and risha, siaa and all you guys here, this whole period is fresh and clear in the head, still thrilling, still driving me nuts.

will do a short one on 45 later tonight. the reply got me right up to that episode.

here goes:

that lavanya moment. but yes, that hit her hard. it's one thing to keep all your feelings buried (mainly because you don't understand them at all), and go about doing what you believe is right. in this case, bringing him and lavanya back together again was that, in her opinion. but it is another to watch your man (yes, your heart has started marking him) put his arms around another woman in front of your eyes. tears will well up and escape the well guarded fantasy of don't care.

having built this awareness and emotion so fascinatingly, how could the makers go haywire after kidnap is way beyond me.

extremely long answer. apologies.

Great post Indi!

I have been thinking the exact same thing watching the episodes from the red saree scene.
Khushi's feeling started way before but ...

I think she never wanted to acknowledge her feelings even to herself because she could never understand how she could feel that way toward a man who was being rude to her.
This continued for a long time as Arnav's behaviour ran hot and cold and then hot again.

But I have felt that Khushi's feeling could have become clear during the 3 months MU phase post hate marriage.

I have always wished that

1) Arnav had told her why he married her in about a month and a half maybe around Heer Ranjha
2) Khushi discovers Arnav's parents' suicide and gets a semblance of understanding as to why he won't believe her and is determined to proved her innocence
3) In the process she realizes she is doing all this because she loves him and tells him but before he can react he gets kidnapped

Then Arnav's I love you and Khushi's mission to save him would have been more believable.

Somehow the 'Hum bhi aapse I love you dammit' after such a long time didn't cut it. But I guess they wanted to go the old fashioned way and have the man say it first.

Anyway bridge under the water I guess

@Ami

Hi Arshi!
first of all WELCOME BACK!
great take on 42, ❤️d all in Blue ❤️❤️❤️ in Purple.
Absolutely loved the Anjali= Gift part. She is indeed a gift to Shyaam, for his financial well being and for his own well being. She love nothing more that her deceiving husband (and her bro). Shyaam misused this gift for too long, and while at the end she escaped his misuse, too much lost time that she will never get back. just sad.

Thnx Ami
Good to be back.Thnx to you guys keeping me on my feet.
Yes Anjali is indeed the most fragile character in IPK.Even Khushi is orphan too but what a contrast she knows how to fight back but Anjali easily get defeated and yes her disability makes it more hard for her.I can totally understand her dependance on Arnav up to certain level, makers took it too far my POV.She did lose all by this Blind faith of hers.
I always wanted to see her emergence as a STRONG lady but in vain. She remained Poojali ,

@INDI
arshi,
back with a bang 👏. oh that orange bold underlined description of shyam, fantastic. all your pause heres enjoyed. especially the underlined one. yes, for some reason, asr did not have that special younger generation relationship with mamaji, but with shyam he did. very chhotey around him.

just one thing, about that shyam t
ying the dhaga with his web of words could it be a hint too of what lies ahead. shyam will tie asr up in his sweet honey words and there won't be a way out?

pink bold, shyam as a spider, that catches its prey in its web of deceit and slowly drains them, great great analogy. yeah he is a keeda makoda, no great serpent he. and that slow draining, oh so shyam.

enjoyed your take on shyam, pity such people were there in your life, but it gives you a more vivid feel of the devil.

Thnx Indi
I hated Shyam for so many reasons ,as I said my personal experience.Even though he was portrayed nice in the beginning I hate people like him with honey tongue. In blue you can take it either way.Yes he is tying him with his sweet lies but at the same time he couldn't hurt him either regardless he wanted and tried so many times .Its a game of god I can say as DM is playing along with all of them as they were in Mandir.Thats why I called him Spider because he is spinning his web around GH as well as RM and each and every one will be effected by him.Honestly I tell you Indi ,I never liked the idea of people of redemption for him as I know with my own experience people like him never changes so redemption is impossible.Arnav is rude, arrogant, yeller, blah blah but one thing is clear for these kind of people their hearts are always pure.Their inside are same as outside but people like SHyam those who know the art of "Aeine mein utarna" are the most dangerous ones as "Kamzor hamesha pheet peeche war karta hai"

arshi,

agreed.

no question redemption of shyam. the man is dirty. nothing can change that. it's a nature thing.

and no need for any redemption of the pure one with the hard exterior. realisation that's all. and may his gussa always be there. his nature, clean and fair, his ability to love and give without limit, his respect for to each his own delightful.

give me a yelling clean man any day over a sweet "wise" honey tongue black heart man.

thanks, charlotte.

in bold there, that was at the heart of the whole thing, wasn't it? why was she feeling such things for a man who was constantly nasty to to her. firstly a small town girl with no exposure to men and all the complexities of love, secondly, uff he was mean. and yet those feelings. how gorgeous, that she still felt things. someone in ipk really understood love and its inexplicable element. how in the end it is like faith in the eternal. you love because you love. not because your ideas of what can or cannot be loved are met. beautiful. both accepted the other finally, as they were. though i do wish khushi had not said she wasn't his patni that night. but that was when story had taken a toss and creatives had lost their way, so no comments. thank g though, they showed the two making love and submitting to their feelings before the totally unnecessary remarriage.

EPISODE 45Two people actually hating each other's guts yet cannot think of anything other than each other. One in office hoping to drown his thoughts in work. Other one trying to get all her personal effects away from that man. Both trying to get away from each other but fate doesn't keep them apart :)Both can feel each others presence.. isn't it devine the way they can just sense ! wish it can happen in real life :)Khushi, doesn't believe this shaitaan has any right intentions .. ignores him all the way.. ASR on the other hand wants just to explain himself to her but unable to do so.. getting irritated or rather frustated.Shyam at RM, all happy, relaxed and at ease since khushi is out of ASR's office. But DM has other plans. Through out the episode and rather through out IPK, we see DM's devine intervention.. whatever Shyam does, khushi or ASR do, they end up meeting each other .. irritating each other .. shouting at each other but I feel they enjoy doing it. Thier heart longs to see each other secretly. They might curse the other but feel empty or bored when not in touch. This is pure attraction. In the store room ASR and Khushi fight yet again. Dupatta does its work yet again. ASR doesn't get a chance to tell his point yet again :))
Shyam again playing games, thinking he will get away.. how stupid these cheaters are.. i mean they think they can actually live a double life and get away with it !! I wonder what makes them so confident !! Yet Anjali like women do exist in our real life who pardon and ignore the most obvious wrong things committed by thier husbands ! And Anjali here must not have even dreamt of her husband to be so.

i see your 45 and 46 are in. will read after i jot my thoughts down 😳. was thinking, much as i loved their scenes when they were resolved and together in the love of theirs, the beauty of these unresolved days, and even later, during the tension over contract, post forced marriage hate love, all of that was just too sublime. real life almost didn't touch it, yet it was so real so plausible. great instinct for love and its ways in the writers and in the performers, also directors.

Hi! it has been way too long since I have been able to sit down, read and speak to you girls. I like vacation much better than real life! haha. My husband came home and made a surprise visit to us for the week so it is now going to be even more difficult to spend time here, so my plans for reading and commenting will have to be prolonged until later.
I love this thread and all the views(some similar, some different, some more in depth) of everyone.
IPK has been a show that has changed my life. The intensity of these star crossed lovers has brought me back to the belief that love conquers all! I was born and raised in the USA, into an Italian American family and it took an Indian serial for my faith and belief in an intense soul mate type love to be renewed. (I feel I have found my Laad Govenor for we have been together over 35 years). I have watched many serials in my life but none has touched me as intensely as IPK and these two actors characters. Unbelievable! I know it is the characters of Arnav and Kushi and not the actors themselves, that are responsible for this intense attraction to IPK. Barun and Sanaya are incredible actors for it is their portrayal of these characters that has attracted me. (The two of them in real life, are still just young adults, silly and learning to mature).I just love these earlier tracks for the intensity of budding love or attraction is so powerful. I see now that he was hit hard much more than Kushi at first. I believe her naivety was why she didn't understand why he was always on her mind. I recently saw the episode when Kushi sells her bangles and decorates his office with the plants she bought with that money to get Lavanya and him back together. He goes to Lavanya 's apt. to take her back to his house and when he hugs Lavanya, she feels hurt. I believe this is the actual moment when she realizes that she feels for him. It was so awesome. So I think that his attraction to her was the catalyst to deny these emotions there by treating her badly. He realized first and she was much slower in recognition.
I look forward to when I can just sit back and read what everyone has written as i sojourn through this journey with you all!
