Speculation has been circulating about her upcoming appearance in a streaming project, leading to questions about whether the young actor is transitioning toward digital platforms. However, sources close to the development have clarified that her streaming debut was planned long before her theatrical breakthrough.

The series in question, titled Nyaya, is directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia. It was reportedly completed before Aneet was signed on for Saiyaara. Due to changes in release schedules, Saiyaara ended up hitting screens first. This led to a perception that Aneet might be shifting focus to OTT platforms, but insiders have dismissed such assumptions.

A trade source revealed, “Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed Saiyaara and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward. The studio’s plan with Aneet appears to align with that approach. The strategy is to keep her firmly positioned in the theatrical space while also fulfilling previous professional commitments.

The series Nyaya is set for release on a major streaming platform, but its timing is a result of overlapping production schedules rather than a change in career direction. As per the source, “There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity.”

Aneet Padda starred opposite Ahaan Panday in Saiyaara, which marked the debut of Ahaan. The film’s unexpected success has opened doors for both, but the current focus for Aneet remains the big screen. While Nyaya may introduce her to the OTT audience, it is not a shift but a scheduled rollout from her pre-Saiyaara slate.
