Khushi's feeling started way before but ...

I think she never wanted to acknowledge her feelings even to herself because she could never understand how she could feel that way toward a man who was being rude to her.

This continued for a long time as Arnav's behaviour ran hot and cold and then hot again.

But I have felt that Khushi's feeling could have become clear during the 3 months MU phase post hate marriage.

I have always wished that

1) Arnav had told her why he married her in about a month and a half maybe around Heer Ranjha

2) Khushi discovers Arnav's parents' suicide and gets a semblance of understanding as to why he won't believe her and is determined to proved her innocence

3) In the process she realizes she is doing all this because she loves him and tells him but before he can react he gets kidnapped

Then Arnav's I love you and Khushi's mission to save him would have been more believable.

Somehow the 'Hum bhi aapse I love you dammit' after such a long time didn't cut it. But I guess they wanted to go the old fashioned way and have the man say it first.

Anyway bridge under the water I guess

thanks for reading that old one. yeah on crooner, we all got wonderfully carried away and into the emotions. shyam's lust vs arnav's lust, many discussions on that too. but you know, that;'s the thing, one doesn't have to be part of forum, hang out with viewers and discuss, not even start from day one. switch on and watch and it will hit you. even in the tamest episodes in the early days something would grab you. i keep reading the word "filler." nothing felt like that to me, of course that si how maybe even cretives viewed those episodes, yet, every time... har baar... something in it. i have never fast forwarded an episode, even the lamest ones. fearing i'd miss out on something.

i am so glad the cliff top episode got you, though you were a very new viewer.

if i saw no other episode of ipk, just this one, it would still feel complete. a piece of art practically. in the way he cradled her, he begged and pleaded and got angry, tried everything, feared she was gone, his eyes opened and focussed as he heard her "hmm," he looked at her then gathered her close and rocked gently, immersed in her and his emotion, their emotion; almost a prayer on his face. the way he placed her dupatta on her, and then lifted her, smiled proud, relieved, fulfilled at her holding of his vest and then walked with long strides toward the future, dupatta trailing, horizon behind... in all of that a whole love story was told.

she told you how true it was with her complete faith in him, her utter dependence, this was her home, her man.

we have cursed the makers often, been very upset at their letting the story down. but sometimes i feel with such perfection they wash away their sins.

Absolutely loved the Anjali= Gift part. She is indeed a gift to Shyaam, for his financial well being and for his own well being. She love nothing more that her deceiving husband (and her bro). Shyaam misused this gift for too long, and while at the end she escaped his misuse, too much lost time that she will never get back. just sad.

Yes Anjali is indeed the most fragile character in IPK.Even Khushi is orphan too but what a contrast she knows how to fight back but Anjali easily get defeated and yes her disability makes it more hard for her.I can totally understand her dependance on Arnav up to certain level,makers took it too far my POV.She did lose all by this Blind faith of hers.

I always wanted to see her emergence as a STRONG lady but in vain.She remained Poojali ,

Episode 44!!!!

Shyam was hopping around with a plate of jalebis, serving people…at this point he looked like a servant of the Raizadas than a son in law. Nani asked how was the Teej pooja and Anjali said it went find and khushi was there…Hearing khushi's name, shyam dropped the plate of jalebis, Anjali looked shocked and asked if he was okay and shyam said he was not paying attention. Mami ji said that saying Phati Sari's name is bad luck, arnav went into thinking mode and got the hiccups. Anjali said that someone is thinking about him…it was totally khushi, she always thinks about him (I don't blame her either). Then mami ji was it must be Lavanya and nani got mad saying I hope chotey forgets her soon, arnav got mad and said that today let's not talk about it since everyone is together and can you forget about this matter for a little bit. Nani said no, and shyam said sit down Bhai (apparently he considers arnav as a brother) let's talk about it. Arnav said he cannot be here anymore and leaves.

The scene shifts to the GH, Payal said I don't think shyam is doing anything special for bua ji's pension, then khushi said shyam ji is trying (I swear this girl never says anything bad about anyone) , payal just nods. Khushi and payal are thinking of ways to get money, khushi came up with the idea of starting buaji's chicken sari business again. Payal said that is a good idea, let's get the sari from the RM and start with those, Khushi gets mad, and said why do you always mention that rakshaas, and if you mention his name again, I will make jalebis again. Payal said you can make jalebis only if we have ration. This shows that they are really tight from money right now, and the sisters are feeling guilty.

The scene shifts with Anjam and Arnav talking about the situation between His relationship with la. And arnav said nani has no right to make a decision on his life. Shyam is like think of the situation this way, and he suggests, if you do not want to get married don't get married. Shyam said you are happy when you are happy with us…that is why it is called a rishta. Arnav is like I have a rishta with la, but I do not want to give it a name, why does nani not want to understand it. Shyam is like she is a nani, and she is old school…then arnav said he is fed up with her attitude. Shyam said he was a way to fix this. This scene pretty much shows that arnav goes to shyam to solve his problems and shyam is the second person next to DI who makes him think and calms down.

Now the scene shifts to Anjam and Nani. Nani said that la can never be a bahu in this house. Shyam said that never said never, this is the problem. Shyam said that you stll have the voice in this house…if you did not then why is chotey show worried about your decision…Then he said that shyam and everyone is by nani and he will support her. Pretty much shyam is convincing nani to let la to live in the RM…so that she can changer her ways. He convinces her by saying that the Time has changed…and it is only for a few day, just to let her understand us. Only shyam can convince nani to let La live with them before marriage…even though she does not agree with it but she trusts shyam…This shows that shyam is at a high position in the house and he always gets his way with his sweet words.

Now khushi is walking back and forth in her room, wondering why this rakshaas is always in her mind. She keeps thinking she forgot something over there and realized that she left her Devi Maiya idol at the office. She now has to go back to get her DM.

Anjam are in their room, and she is massaging her hair. Anjali said to make words they should learn from him…Shyam said that is all I can give you…and Anjali said that is all I want is your love…Shyam then asks why do you want la and arnav together if youd do not like her. Anjali said that she is doing it for arnav's happiness. Arnav comes to their room and Anjali said guess what your jija ji did. Arnav was like I am sure he convinced nani!!! And arnav gives shyam a watch, it is a set pair. Anjali was like there is one for me, and shyam said the model jija ji like only came in a set (my question is how did arnav know what type of watch shyam liked so that is why you got a watch…(I think shyam chose it purposely because it comes in a set, makes it easier for arnav to buy it). Arnav actually smiles when Anjam are together. I love the reason why he bought the watch…it was a sweet thing he said. Arnav goes to his office on a Sunday!!!!

Khushi and Arnav are on their way to go to the office!!!! Khushi tell her family that she left her DM there, and she cannot sleep because she forgot it. They are forced to let her go. Khushi thinks that Arnav will not be there, and that is the only way that convinces her family to let her go. Arnav calls la to pack her bags because she is going to stay there. La is talking about how excited she is. He looks like he is not paying attention. La said what are some tips should I follow, Arnav said just be yourself…so la is like that means you like me for being me. As she said that he passes khushi's desk with the DM and stops (RABBA VEY) while thinking of khushi, he said yeah I like you the way you are. La said I love you. Arnav said nothing but saying I am in the office I will call you back. He tell sthe peon to remove the stuff from the desk and send it to her house.

Shyam is talking to bua ji. And bua ji is like we miss you. Shyam asks for khushi and said that she went to the office because she forgot her stuff. SHyam quietly said office…arnav is at the office and quickly cuts the call. Anjali is in the background and after he cut the call Anjali said Aap…he looked scared thinking that Anjali heard. Khushi is at the front step of AR and before she enters, she thinks of all the bad things ASR did to her. She opens the door and stops and gets nervous hoping that Arnav is not there…she starts fidgeting and telling herself not to worry it is Sunday and no one will come. Episode ends!!

EPISODE 45Two people actually hating each other's guts yet cannot think of anything other than each other. One in office hoping to drown his thoughts in work. Other one trying to get all her personal effects away from that man. Both trying to get away from each other but fate doesn't keep them apart :)Both can feel each others presence.. isn't it devine the way they can just sense ! wish it can happen in real life :)Khushi, doesn't believe this shaitaan has any right intentions .. ignores him all the way.. Thier heart longs to see each other secretly. They might curse the other but feel empty or bored when not in touch. This is pure attraction. In the store room ASR and Khushi fight yet again. Dupatta does its work yet again. ASR doesn't get a chance to tell his point yet again :))

Shyam again playing games, thinking he will get away.. how stupid these cheaters are.. i mean they think they can actually live a double life and get away with it !! I wonder what makes them so confident !! Yet Anjali like women do exist in our real life who pardon and ignore the most obvious wrong things committed by thier husbands ! And Anjali here must not have even dreamt of her husband to be so.

I love this thread and all the views(some similar, some different, some more in depth) of everyone.
IPK has been a show that has changed my life. The intensity of these star crossed lovers has brought me back to the belief that love conquers all! I was born and raised in the USA, into an Italian American family and it took an Indian serial for my faith and belief in an intense soul mate type love to be renewed. (I feel I have found my Laad Govenor for we have been together over 35 years). I have watched many serials in my life but none has touched me as intensely as IPK and these two actors characters. Unbelievable! I know it is the characters of Arnav and Kushi and not the actors themselves, that are responsible for this intense attraction to IPK. Barun and Sanaya are incredible actors for it is their portrayal of these characters that has attracted me. (The two of them in real life, are still just young adults, silly and learning to mature).I just love these earlier tracks for the intensity of budding love or attraction is so powerful. I see now that he was hit hard much more than Kushi at first. I believe her naivety was why she didn't understand why he was always on her mind. I recently saw the episode when Kushi sells her bangles and decorates his office with the plants she bought with that money to get Lavanya and him back together. He goes to Lavanya 's apt. to take her back to his house and when he hugs Lavanya, she feels hurt. I believe this is the actual moment when she realizes that she feels for him. It was so awesome. So I think that his attraction to her was the catalyst to deny these emotions there by treating her badly. He realized first and she was much slower in recognition.
I look forward to when I can just sit back and read what everyone has written as i sojourn through this journey with you all!

yes, he is your laad gov, 35 years, wonderful. mine i've known 30 odd years and been married to for 27 of those.

i've always been a bit nutty about love, and iss pyaar ko felt and understood this feeling so well, i was hooked. never been chained to a serial before, in any language. this minute to minute understanding of a feeling and the faith that it is indeed beyond comprehension but brings a sense of eternity to our transient lives, ufff i am sold on this pyaar. this exists. no one can convince me otherwise.

the writing and the two actors came together unbelievably to create a story i couldn't turn away from. in the process i discovered one of the finest actors i've ever seen, that too on a daily soap. barun sobti. have to say, sanaya irani is a better actor in my estimate than most of our movie actresses.

somewhere behind, i've written my feelings on when khushi felt attracted, su had asked if it was at the point you mention, when he hugs la. yes, it crystallised crazily at that point, but i think it started before. and even at that point she didn't clearly identify the feeling, but her insides knew. as happens with such things. ohhh this love thing, i tell ya.

read and write when you can. it's been fantastic hanging out in thsi diverse colourful thread.
