Sonal, is there any way you can the insert the pic of the couple also in there? I saw a pic of a boy somewhere sitting on the the curve of a moon and a couple holding hands staring at the moon

I loved the caption of life isn't perfect but there are perfect moments..that's perfect.

We went to a Mangolian Hot Pot for lunch today with another family. The lady is Chinese married to an American. Both them second shot as regards marriage. Lovely couple each with older children from their first marriage.

I loved this concept of Hot Pot which they have been asking us to try for sometime.
There's this huge hot pot half and half , half very spicy vegetable broth base and the other half normal spice kept on the table through the course of your lunch. Then we get make a selection of vegetables , rice and noodles that we want. They bring all the stuff to your table. When we drop them in to the hot plate broth it's cooking and simmering as we eat. So you get to add different things multiple times and it gets cooked as you keep eating. Then they have the dips and sauces to go with as well. I first did a round of veggies to the broth in the hot pot, then noodles next and rice last. The broth base in which all this was cooking had almost no oil but had loads of special Indian spices. It was The broth that made the whole thing interesting. This hot pot is for the whole family.
So we did the veg hot pot and the other family did the meat, fish and prawn hot pot.

I loved the concept as we get to adjust the combos for each person on the table. It's so fresh , so hot off the pot. Was the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were literally hundreds of cars parked outside the compound wall, all along the busy thoroughfare street of Judge Vaidya's residence.

Just a few inside, including his white Toyota Camry his official transport, and the three the family owned, and 5 belonging to Guptas. Everyone else, was not so special. Despite the 10 cars parked outfront there was almost an acre of open lawns that was covered for the event tonight

Teeming with friends family, business associates and even some local journos, the place was packed

The event planner wandered around barking into his handheld device.

The bride was not here yet. Chandan had spent an hour breathlessly quizzing Himani and Bani about Teeku Maasi's whereabouts

He was dressed in a red sherwani and offwhite chudidar and had gelled his hair back

"Who got you gel? Himani whispered in his tiny ear

"The tall man...Harshat (he could not tell the difference between Harshal and Harit, so he invented a blend and and assigned it to Harit)

Himani nodded confused

"Theek hai, agar who Dilli se mangwana chahti hain apne kapde to check de denge Vaidya was accommodating to Bani and Himani

"She works in Delhi Uncle, unko to Roorke bhi old fashioned lagta hai, Bareilly to gaon hain she giggled

Himani gently squeezed her DIL's wrist, as she anxiously darted a look towards the direction of the tall steel gates

"Aapke kya rasam hain bata dein behenji, hamare panditji to havan karenge, agar aapko pareshaani na ho

Himani shook her head energetically

"Arey bilqul nahi bhaisaab, Mrs Vaidya kidhar hain?

"Aaj kal ke bache hain, sunte nahi Dadi ki Gauri Garima ka identical lehenga laayin who, Gauri ne pehna, Garima ne nahi, aaj pata laga bahut lambi hai, to jaldi alter kar rahin hai "

"KHUD? Himani was stunned

"Jee, kaafi seeti hain hamari missus

"WOW Himani was in awe

"Seeti hain aapki bitiya?

Bani laughed shrilly

"Bus Home Economics lee unhoney PUC mein Roorkee college se, uske baad to nahi Himani responded calmly glaring at Bani

"Harit se mil chukin?

"Nahiii... pleaseee milwayen Himani was thrilled

Vaidya texted his son, he appeared after 15 or so minutes

"Kidhar hain aap, aaj aap hain star, aap khoye hue hain Vaidya patted his son's shoulder

Himani looked at him for the first time

Nearly six feet tall, with dense curls filling his head, clean shaven, a dimple on his chin, long sideburns, strong hands, knee length somber black sherwani with big round hand crafted silver buttons, and a ivory silk chudidar and black lace up shoes.

"Yeh hain, Mrs Gupta, aapki MIL

He extended a hand first accidentally and and then did a namaste

Himani reached out shook his hand and then hugged him

"You have made us ALL SO HAPPY she teared up

"Umm... thanks he smiled shyly

"Aur yeh hain... kya naam bataya beta? he asked Bani

"I am Teeku's ELDER Bhabhi Bani said smugly "Not that I am OLD she said defensively

His face broke into a warm smile as he nodded, Bani appeared like she wanted a hug, but Harit just extended a hand

"Oh you are the company accountant?

"HE KNOWS Uncle she giggled

Himani looked at Bani gleefully

"Hamare Teeku pata nahi kitna yaad hai,ya kitna jaanne ki koshish ki hai unhoney she took a subtle potshot

"Unhey to YAHAN rehna hai Himani reminded her DIL

"Did u have a good trip? Harit asked politely

"Oh yes beta, Uncle knows someone who is related to an employee in the textile mill, so he arranged a house for us last night

"Everything good? Harit asked politely

"She missed Chandan Bani spoke out of turn

Harit looked on blandly

"Ab dulhe ko miss karengi to who milne aayenge nahi Himani chuckled nervously

Vaidya excused himself a second after Harit did

"Arey Mom shaadi wahin ho rahi hai jaha Chandan ko bhejna nahi chahti thi, to hamey to aapki baat kaafi bizarrelag rahi hai still in her mind believing in the conspiracy theory that Teeku hooked up with Harit in Delhi, and this wedding is just a sham

Himani sighed unwilling o argue with her now

A Merc pulled into the gravel pathway the band sounded loudly, the drums beating deafeningly.

Himani's tension increased, she ran to find Shyam... Bani walked towards the car

Meeta helped her, out walked a vision in lilac, holding a clump of lehenga in both fists

Looking around to make eye contact with Himani or Chandan

Instead she made eye contact with a tallish dude in black sherwani with silver buttons and black lace up shoes. "Oh god, lace up shoes with sherwani she thought to herself

He couldn't look away

this one is going to be a stormy one undoubtedly. he couldn't look away, she couldn't be bothered... but slowly and steadily she will crave for his attention while all shel'l get is chandoo!
