I liked Ranbir initially. I liked him in Sawariya songs. Didn't watch the movie till later and still not completely. Then I liked him in movies like Ajab Prem, Wake up sid, Rajneeti. Didn't watch bachna ae, didn't like his look from the trailer and songs and didn't watch Rocket singh cuz it didn't look interesting. By that time, especially after Rajneeti, I thought he was a good actor. Then I watched Rockstar and Barfi. I loved Rockstar and still do and don't know why it was criticised so much. After that and Barfi, I thought he was a very good actor. Didn't think he was the best or great or anything. But then I came across people and articles calling him the best actor ever. And things like these change people's perceptions so it probably did for me too. Then I think came YJHD, and while I liked the movie, I didn't get the extreme craze for it. That is also when I read somewhere and started realising he always does the same kind of roles in all movies. I was unimpressed with him in that movie and it was mainly a Deepika movie for me. Post that, I haven't watched any of his movies because I've never been interested to watch his one dimensional acting really. Not even Tamasha.People, including me, have praised him a lot for Rajneeti. I watched it again recently and expected him to have done well but I realised his acting was mediocre. The reason why he suited that character was because he's like that in his real life. Very much played himself. And I don't criticise actors for playing characters close to their real personality onscreen but it definitely doesn't deserve to be called a brilliant performance in that case.Since this post is a reaction to my comment in another thread, I thought I should reply to it. You called me a hater and now having read your post, I can call you a stan but I don't want to because I don't know you. Just because the majority have liked your favourite's work and somebody doesn't, you don't have to take offence at that call them names.
