Yeah, I know it's very presumptuous but it's kinda frustrating that Sid lacks any kind of shining moment so far. Hell, he'll probably have most of the scenes in this movie but will do the same happy-go-lucky routine he did in HTP and did it better. Yeah, I need him to do work on his craft and do better because we need fresh blood even if he was average looking.

You know how BW is, outsiders need to be twice as good. Sushant who lost all momentum was so critically acclaimed for Kai Po Che but one flop film totally threw him. Sid is lucky to have KJO's support but he's a snake.

bt Fawad is also an outsider and he is from pakistan that's even worse than being a pathetic actor like Sid for instance or Himesh lol Himesh still gets work. This would be Fawad's 2nd BW movie he is so much better than to be acting along side what's her face sonam and now Sid and aloo as a 3rd lead he is lead material charismatic, alluring forget the face those eyes of Fawad will draw u in and make u watch him hawk eyes. he is a true outsider who because of his natural talent is bringing ppl towards his. Sid for me has it very easy. He is getting the best roles with probably the best production house. And Varun works in his dads comedy movies. Dharma vs Dhawan which is the better production house Dharma obviously.

Like I said in the other thread, agree to disagree.

I think he did fine in K&S trailer. I don't think he's a great actor. He certainly has room for a lot of improvement. I just do not agree that he's as bad as some claim. But I also don't think some others are as great as people think. So it is a subjective thing also.

I also want to add that it doesn't matter that Fawad is not his direct competition. In this movie you only have Fawad and Ratna and Rajat, and then you have Sid. So yea he will look like the weakest link In front of them. But as far as weak links go, he did pretty good.

I watched EV twice only for him. He barely had anything to do in Brothers, and couple of his emotional scenes from the trailers didn't even make the final cut. His character in K&S seems like the less intense of the two brothers. Fawad had that major confrontation with his Mom, so Naturally more intensity was shown there. Wait and see till the movie comes out I say.

well the problem is screen presence and charisma... I have seen few actors on south who can not act I say can not but they are in top position in their respective industry just because of their amazing screen presence and charisma but SidM lacks both :(

Kat is a hopeless actor, but she has screen presence.

Sid lacks screen presence on top of acting skills. Good looks can only take you so far...and somehow I think KJo realizes it. I am not sure how long KJo is gonna stick around for Sid, especially if his bankruptcy rumors are true.

I was disappointed by ARK in Fitoor trailers, but he is way better than Sid in looks and acting.

Sid is turning out to be Imran Khan part 2. Is this why KJo keeps pushing Sid into all roles origianlly meant for Imran? 😕

I don't think he's bad tbh. He was super endearing in HTP and I legit thought he will become a fab actor. It's probably because he hasn't done better ever since, it feels like he's stuck in a rut. I am not saying he will probably not be fantastic in K&S but that he has issues of a lack of commanding screen presence along with mediocre acting. KJO is a vulture and unlike what this forum believes, he gives the best roles and best movies to Varun.

Since it's obvious that Sid isn't a very natural actor, he needs to work on his craft. But yeah, I guess he'll be better in the movie itself.

Alia is so overrated my god. It's the total lack of competition that's helping her cause. I feel like I am going in circles but as I have repeatedly said, I am not saying Sid is bad. I am saying Sid is not getting better. Alia is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, Sid is not. Hence this discussion. Outsiders will always come up short and they will have it worse if they don't act remarkably well.

I agree...he needs to work hard. As simple as that. He looks hot but looks aren't enough. He needs some acting lessons. He needs to open up and be himself. He needs to work on his diction, body language and expressions. The problem with him is that he emotes only when he is given dialogues. Other than that his expressions are mostly blank. His tone mostly predictable. I don't think he still has it in him to hold an intense scene for long. He will probably fumble. If he takes up some crash course for acting/diction, it will really help him because he's got it in him. There's no harm in learning or going to that extra mile that too when you are already there...so close to success.

Before people come at me, I am not saying he's a bad actor or that he was bad in the K&S trailer or that he won't be good in the actual movie. I am just saying, is he really improving noticeably or just going back and forth between his peak in HTP and his low point in Brothers but never really standing out for any movie? Discuss.

I have not seen any of Sid's movies, it has been a glimpse of certain scenes here and there. Gleaning from that I presume that he lacks any natural talents.

What is in his favor is his looks, his voice, and his body.

what are his flaws are his lack of talent whatsoever, charisma, certain drive to prove himself. He also in not a headline maker a la Sonam Kapoor, Katrina etc..

Having said that, Sid is not the first wooden actor.. before him there were Saif, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay dutt. All took a long time to come out of their shell.. once they opened up we had Omkara, , Zakhm, sajan,Vaastav.. Sid has to find a movie that will click for him, help him come out of his shell... Since he has K Jo as his benefactor, m sure chances will not run out for him.
