Why isn't Sid improving?

So it's kind of a spin-off thread from the K&S trailer thread and I know it's super presumptuous of me to say this but is it just me or does anyone else notice the lack of improvement in Siddharth's acting? I mean this is his fifth movie not his first. If he had some natural talent, it would have been obvious by now. Look at his competition, Varun was doing a Badlapur in his third, Ranveer did Lootera and Ram Leela for his third and fourth, Ranbir was above and beyond from the beginning anyway, even Arjun had a show stealing moment in Ishaqzaade's Chokra Jawaan.

I really like Sid, but for me, he isn't an SRK in terms of acting ability, yet. I really liked him in HTP ;I thought he was very endearing. Brothers- Well, the movie was so bad we walked out of the theater 😆 and yeah, he was far from spectacular there.

EV- He was alright. Not great.

SOTY was an annoying movie, but still, he was cute.

Quite frankly, I don't see him developing into an acting great, but I think he has the potential to be a movie star. Movie stars and great actors are not necessarily the same people, so he can aim for that, like Katrina.

I think Sid can spend some time honing his skills if he really wants his acting to be impacting.

As for the K&S trailer, I thought Sid was pretty natural in it. I know you spoke of that scene where he says 'You shut up', but I thought it was fine. Maybe it's just a matter of preference as well. I think it's also about what appeals to different people.

Its a bit premature to judge just watching the trailer. I think in K&S, he acted better then Brothers and EV (whatever I could see in a 2 min trailer), he needs to work on his delivery, though he has a nice masculine voice. He is not a natural and will be found out in presence of better actors. I hope he improves, cos he is such a hottie bollywood is in desperate need of good looking actors hence I'm all out in support of Sid and ARK 😆

I remember going to see SOTY expecting to be bowled over by Sid but it was Varun Dhawan who stood out. But then in Hasee Toh Phasee he proved his mettle through a subtle performance, since I haven't seen any of his other movies post that I cannot comment on his descent as an actor but yes the reviews haven't been very flattering.

Its such a shame, bollywood got such a great looking male actor after Akki after a long long time and he can't act for toffee.

He was really good in EV and HTP. He acted just fine in those roles.

Because He's been in Relationship With Karan johar. 😆
