Krutika Desai, who is seen as Pakhi in Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi's Anupamaa, is grateful to be a part of the show. She believes for an artist it is important to be a part of a show that is creating an impact, and she is fortunate to be a part of one.
"Being part of Anupamaa is truly special and deeply fulfilling as an actor. It’s rare to work on a show that goes beyond entertainment and actually becomes a source of strength and reflection for people. As an artist, you always hope your work connects emotionally, but Anupamaa has created a social impact as well. It talks about dignity, self-respect, relationships, and personal growth in a very relatable way," she said.
She mentioned that she is happy that she is able to contribute to the larger conversations through her character and said, "It gives my performance more purpose and responsibility."

Krutika understands that when a dialogue carries emotional weight and may resonate widely, she needs to approach it with a lot more honesty than performance. She said, "I try not to think about it as a punchline or a trending moment. I focus on the truth of the character in that situation. If I feel it genuinely, the audience will too."
"My process usually starts with understanding the emotional history behind the line, what the character has gone through, what they want in that moment, and what they are not able to say beyond the words. I spend time on the pauses, the breath, and the silence between the sentences because often that’s where the real emotion lives," she added.
She also credited the writers of Anupamaa for giving very layered dialogues. She said, "I make sure I respect the rhythm and intention of the writing while still making it sound natural. When a line trends later, it feels wonderful, but on set, the goal is simply to make it truthful, not viral. That authenticity is what connects and stays with people."
Many dialogues from the show trend on social media almost instantly, but for her it doesn't change how she looks at her character or approaches her future scenes. She said, "If anything, it reinforces that honesty in performance reaches people. I see it as appreciation for the writing, the direction, and the emotional truth of the moment, not just the delivery."
She mentioned that she doesn't let virality create pressure or make her chase similar moments. She said, "Characters grow organically, and every scene has its own emotional requirement. My responsibility is to stay consistent with the character’s journey rather than perform for reactions. Of course, it does make me more aware of the impact our words can have. So I become even more mindful about intention and nuance—because you never know which line will stay with people and become part of a larger conversation outside the show."
"It serves as a reminder that every moment counts because even one scene has the power to create a lasting impression," she added.
People even use dialogues from Anupamaa in real-life situations, and Krutika shared that is everything for her. "I can tell a character has touched viewers' hearts when they apply our dialogue to their own lives. Knowing that your performance has become someone's voice in a real-life circumstance is the greatest reward a performer can receive," she said.
"I believe that the storytelling's honesty is what keeps viewers emotionally engaged. The dialogue is based on common emotions, the characters feel authentic, and their journeys are relatable. People return to these stories time and time again because they relate to them," Krutika ended.
