The first glimpse of Subedaar is out, and Anil Kapoor is not easing into this one. He steps in as Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired army man trying to find his footing in a world that no longer plays by the rules he swore by. The teaser keeps it tight and intense, hinting at a man pushed to his limits.
Set to stream on Prime Video on March 5, the film blends action with a personal story at its core. Beneath the punches and confrontations lies a father and daughter equation that seems central to the plot.
A Soldier Out Of Uniform, Not Out Of Fight

Subedaar follows Arjun Maurya after his years in service. The battlefield may be behind him, but conflict is not. The teaser suggests a clash between old school discipline and a fast shifting society. There is anger, restraint, and a sense of loss simmering under the surface.
Anil Kapoor plays him with control rather than noise. The glimpses show a man carrying history in his posture. The action feels grounded, not glossy. The emotional thread with his daughter, played by Radhikka Madan, appears to drive the narrative forward, adding stakes beyond physical combat.
Family Cheers, Industry Takes Note

As soon as the teaser dropped, the reactions began pouring in. Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor publicly rooted for their father, sharing their excitement online. Their posts quickly caught attention, turning the teaser launch into a family moment.
Anupam Kher added his voice with a celebratory “Jai Ho #KapoorSaab!” while Sanjay Kapoor called the teaser impressive. The endorsements from both relatives and colleagues have only increased curiosity around the project.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film is backed by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Triveni under Opening Image Films, along with Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network. The cast also includes Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, and Mona Singh.
Subedaar arrives on March 5 on Prime Video India, with Anil Kapoor leading from the front once again.
