Bhumi Pednekar speaks out on botox and fillers criticism: 'We live in a time where…'

The debate around actors and cosmetic procedures, like fillers, has been ongoing. Many actors face criticism and trolling for choosing these enhancements. After Bhumi Pednekar's appearance in The Royals, she too faced criticism regarding her appearance. Bhumi expressed that the focus on this topic is excessive, and supported the freedom to choose fillers.

“I feel, to each their own. We live in a time where people should make their own choices. I am nobody to have any kind of judgment on what people want to do. I also feel that this is being discussed way too much," she told News18 Showsha.

When asked about her diet for fitness, Bhumi shared, “People get very scared of but I have it in my diet – fat. I have a lot of ghee in my diet. The only difference is, I do not cook in ghee; I consume it raw. Put it on your rotis or idlis, it is very beneficial for your health."

In an interview to Health Shots, Bhumi Pednekar says, "When I started my workout journey, I thought the only way to be fit is when you over-exert, and you burn many hundreds of calories in the gym. I used to feel very proud of it. But what was actually happening was I was damaging my body because I never gave my body the chance to heal."

"Due to this, I got a lot of underlying conditions. I don't want to talk about them yet… But one of the biggest things that I changed is that I prioritized not overdoing it. Today I workout 20% of what I used to 4 years ago, and I think I'm my fittest," added the actor.

Bhumi Pednekar's recent project was Netflix's The Royals, a romantic dramedy featuring her alongside Ishaan Khatter. The series, which also stars Zeenat Aman, Dino Morea, and others, has been lauded for its innovative approach to romance and is available on Netflix.

Bhumi will next star in Daldal, a Prime Video web series where she portrays a police officer. Filming is complete, and the release date is anticipated by fans.
