Bollywood’s evergreen icon Amitabh Bachchan continues to charm fans not only with his powerful on-screen presence but also with his poetic musings on his personal blog. On Sunday, July 27, the superstar once again stuck to his long-standing tradition of greeting fans outside his Juhu residence, a ritual he rarely skips and later took to his blog to share his reflections on the meet-and-greet.

This time, Big B’s blog wasn’t just about waving to his admirers. He dropped a unique slice of cinema history, a preserved movie ticket from his 1975 blockbuster Sholay. The price on it? Just Rs 20. The superstar fondly shared an image of the ticket, calling it a cherished keepsake, and amusingly compared the ticket price to the cost of an “aerated drink in theatre halls nowadays.” In a humorous twist, he seemed unaware that a cola at modern multiplexes can cost anywhere between Rs 180 and Rs 500; a far cry from the ticket price of one of India’s most iconic films.

Alongside this cinematic memory, the 81-year-old actor shared philosophical thoughts about creativity, noise, and excess. In his signature abstract style, Bachchan wrote about the mind’s ability to function at its peak during stillness, and how silence, even in the midst of chaos, can become a powerful tool for inspiration.

Known for regularly pouring his heart out in his late-night blog entries, Amitabh has built a steady online connection with his fans. He often pens down his thoughts on life, cinema, memories, and everything in between, blending wisdom with nostalgia in a uniquely lyrical tone.

On the work front, the legendary actor was recently seen playing the role of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD, which went on to collect over Rs 1042 crore globally. He will reprise his role in the sequel, which is scheduled to begin shooting in December 2025. He is also part of Ribhu Dasgupta’s upcoming thriller Section 84, co-starring Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur.

Even after decades in the industry, Amitabh Bachchan continues to evolve, as a performer, a thinker, and above all, as someone who still knows how to keep his fans curious and connected.
