The sets of the iconic 90s film Karan Arjun were a hotbed of fun and chaos, with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Johnny Lever at the center of the mayhem. Veteran actor Ashok Saraf recently shared some hilarious behind-the-scenes stories, revealing that the trio would often engage in playful antics involving fake guns and firecrackers, making the set a playground for their energetic escapades.

In a conversation with Radio Nasha Official, Ashok Saraf confirmed the playful nature of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on the sets of Karan Arjun. When questioned about the duo's alleged antics of firing fake guns and bursting crackers outside director Rakesh Roshan's room, Saraf validated the claims. “Yes, yes. I never used to go wherever this was happening. Kisi ko sataana ho toh main door hu. But yes, both of them used to have a lot of fun."

Ashok Saraf revealed that Johnny Lever frequently joined Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in their playful escapades, while he preferred to keep a safe distance and stay out of the mischief. “Aur unke saath mein Johny Lever bhi mil jaata tha. Uske saath main bhi fir, masti nahi karta tha par hota tha."

The story aligns with Rakesh Roshan's previous account on the same platform, where he recalled being woken up at night by the sound of "guns going off" and "bottles flying" near his room. Shah Rukh Khan also admitted to the chaos in the docu-series The Roshans, saying, "Pinkie ji scolded me a lot. ‘You are troubling Guddu (Rakesh) a lot. I didn’t expect it from you.’ Because, between Salman and me, I was slightly better behaved; at least on the face of it. I was like, ‘I didn’t do anything. It’s all his (Salman) doing.’ We were two young kids, really troubling a father figure, to be honest."

Karan Arjun, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar, and Amrish Puri, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and was re-released in theaters to commemorate the occasion.

The 1995 Bollywood action-drama Karan Arjun tells the tale of two brothers, Karan and Arjun, who are cruelly slain by their avaricious uncle, Durjan Singh, for their inheritance. Their mother, Durga, implores the goddess Kali for retribution. Years later, her sons are reincarnated as Ajay and Vijay in different families, oblivious to their previous lives. As destiny reunites them, memories of their past lives begin to surface, resulting in a powerful reunion and a mission to avenge their deaths, thus fulfilling their mother’s promise.
