Ameesha Patel recently shared a throwback moment from the early 2000s that stirred nostalgia among fans of Hindi cinema. The actor posted an old photo with her Humraaz co-stars Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna, recalling the film’s premiere event in London over two decades ago.
The image, clicked during a press interaction ahead of the premiere at London’s Piccadilly Circus, shows the trio in coordinated looks. While Akshaye and Ameesha sported yellow outfits, Bobby kept it casual in a denim jacket. Captioning the photo, Ameesha wrote,

Directed by Abbas–Mustan, the 2002 romantic thriller Humraaz drew inspiration from A Perfect Murder (1998), which itself was a remake of Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder, originally based on Frederick Knott’s stage play. Produced by Ganesh, Ratan and Champak Jain, the film became one of the biggest commercial successes that year, ranking seventh in box office collections.
Beyond the nostalgic post, Ameesha also addressed a recent comment comparing debutant Ahaan Panday to Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor. During an Ask Ameesha session on social media, a fan asked her opinion on the buzz around Ahaan’s debut film Saiyaara.
While she admitted she hasn’t seen the film yet, Ameesha offered a measured response:
I haven’t seen the film but I wish them luck. Ahaan as per is v promising actor .. but baap tho baap hai and beta tho beta hi hoga. Dugu is a WAR ahead from most of the stars…

The remark, casually delivered, seemed to affirm Hrithik Roshan’s position in a different league, especially from someone who worked with him during his debut in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.
As fans of early 2000s cinema continue to revisit favourites like Humraaz, the throwback offered a timely reminder of a film that balanced suspense, music and a stylish star cast—without the excess noise of today's spectacle-driven releases.
