Veteran actress Soni Razdan recently took to Instagram to share a deeply personal and emotional post that connected her family's past to the current conflict in Palestine. In her heartfelt message, Soni opened up about her grandfather's brave resistance against Adolf Hitler's regime in Nazi Germany, a story that not many knew until now.
According to Soni, her grandfather was part of a group that ran an underground newspaper opposing Hitler's dictatorship. They circulated the publication as widely as possible, risking their lives to speak the truth. Eventually, he was caught, arrested, and sent to a concentration camp where he witnessed horrific events. However, because he was German and had access to legal representation, he was later released under one condition, he could never return to Germany again.
Sharing these memories, Soni wrote that her grandfather's courage left a strong impact on her, and it's the reason she feels particularly connected to the plight of Palestinians today. In a powerful statement, she expressed, "When I see what is happening in Palestine today, I am so glad he is no longer alive. It would have broken him."

She also admitted that she may not possess the same bravery, but staying silent in the face of injustice is not an option.
Supporting her mother's post, actress Alia Bhatt 'liked' the post, offering a quiet yet meaningful gesture of solidarity.
On the professional front, Soni Razdan is currently shooting for a gripping Netflix mystery thriller set in Shimla. The series features an exciting ensemble cast including Parineeti Chopra, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Jennifer Winget. Directed by Rensil D'Silva and produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the show promises suspense and drama in equal measure.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has an exciting slate ahead. She will soon be seen in the much-awaited action-drama Alpha alongside Sharvari Wagh and in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
