War 2 made on staggering budget of Rs 400 crores; Jr NTR's paycheck higher than Hrithik Roshan

War 2 is the biggest Hindi movie of 2025 and excitement for the same is rising by the day. The trailer has increased interest in the movie. We had read about how the movie has been shot abroad and its stunning VFX. From the canvas and visuals, we can see that a lot of money has been spent in the production. The highlight are the big budget action sequences choreographed in a hitherto unseen manner in Bollywood. There are six of them in all. With the movie getting a widespread release on IMAX, people are hoping it will match Hollywood standards.

Aditya Chopra has spared no expense to make War 2 a tentpole project for the studio. It is the most ambitious movie coming out of YRF. War 2 is made on a budget of Rs 400 crores. It is higher than Tiger 3 (Rs 350 crores) and Pathaan (Rs 325 crores). Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan had made over Rs 1,500 crores for YRF. This allowed them to pump in considerable money for War 2. The Siddharth Anand spy thriller was also a big money-spinner for YRF after a long time. The production house has allotted extra budget for print and publicity of War 2. This was revealed to Bollywood Hungama by an inside trade source.

Jr NTR will be paid Rs 70 crore for the film, while Hrithik Roshan is taking home Rs 50 crore as the upfront fee for the spy thriller. He will also get a share in the profits. Kiara Advani has been paid Rs 15 crore, which is one of the highest in her career. Veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is also taking home Rs 10 crore for the movie. The fees of the actors have increased the budget of War 2. Also, Ayan Mukerji will be paid Rs 30 crores for directing the movie. The makers have invested a lot in foreign shooting locations, technical and stunt teams and a big song sequence. Aditya Chopra decided to rope in Ayan Mukerji after seeing his work on Brahmastra that had a lot of action and VFX sequences.
