Yet another dance based reality show is about to hit your television sets. Star One's Zara Nachke Dikha would be having a format where one would see the television actresses competing against the actors. The interesting part of this show is going to be the siblings Delnaz Paul and Bhakhtiyar fighting each other on the stage to prove them to be the best in front of judges Malaika Arora Khan and Chunkey Pandey. Delnaz shares how she has been waiting for this to happen.

"Bhakhtiyar has always been a good dancer. But at the same time, since my childhood, I had this dream of beating my brother in a dance competition. I am going to give my best to win it," Delnaz expresses her excitement. The actress also adds that she wouldn't be depressed if the girls lose against the boys. "The boys' team has some pretty good dancers like Bhakhtiyar, Gaurav Chopra, etc. So if we lose after giving a competitive fight, I wouldn't be sad," concludes Delnaz Listening to this chubby beauty, one thing is for sure that brother-sister fighting pressure is going to be felt even on other contestants and victory is not going to be a cakewalk for boys. Well, let's see. We will always be with the winner only!

Reality series got a tad bit more real
Reality series got a tad bit more real

by Meenakshi Shankar

Aug 20, 2008, Mumbai

If you thought reality showcases were all about 'scripted' tears and tribulations, real cat fights and walk outs, laughter and masti, then you really haven't seen it all. Like the ying and yang balance, what we saw was merely one side to the balance.

So brace yourself as Star One brings you exciting off stage action. 'Reality Episodes' of the biggest battle of the sexes – Zara Nachke Dikha- Andar ki baat & the biggest laughter riot - The Laughter Challenge Special, will make audiences privy to all the happenings that have not been aired on television screens before. The reality episodes promise to be upfront, with edge-of-the-seat content, loaded with fights, banter, laughter, tears and all the toil that goes on behind the scenes. From fights during the rehearsals over the strategies failed, team work issues, to the nervousness of the contestants preparing for their gags, you are bound to ask for more.

The goof-ups and faux pas, the sizzling chemistry and the sourness, the triumph et al...reality series got a tad bit more real as viewers get to see the 'reality' behind the shows.

If the latest Zara Nachke Dikha has caught your fancy, then Andar Ki Baat, episode 1 (Wednesday-Boys episode) & 2 (Thursday-Girls episode) which airs at 9.30 p.m encapsulates the journey of the contestants since the last 6 weeks, their feelings, achievements and emotional turmoil. The episode also captures some of the wonderful experiences they had while rehearsing, shooting the dance sequences and their actual thoughts towards their opponents…

And if you are in a mood to catch Shatrugan Sinha and Navjot Singh Sidhu in their easy banter, then join hands with Bharati as she prepares her gags for the character Lalli. Also get ready to appreciate the women's sense of humor with a special episode that showcases the gags performed by the mighty women of the Great Indian Laughter Challenge 4. The Laughter Challenge Special, episode 1 (Wednesday) & 2 (Thursday) airs at 10 pm.

Nana karte pyaar tumhise kar baithe?
Nana Patekar and Narayani Shastri go out together ever so often. Evidently they?re more than just good friend

Vickey Lalwani

Nana Patekar
We've been hearing whispers in the industry for a while that Nana Patekar and TV actress Narayani Shastri are rather fond of each other.

A source says, "Nana and Narayani became very friendly during the making of Pak Pak Pakaak in which they acted together. Since then, they have kept in touch frequently. Nowadays, they even go out together quite often."

Pak Pak Pakaak (2005) is a Marathi film about a young naughty boy and a 'ghost' who lives in a forest. Sai Paranjpe conceptualised the story and her son Gautam Joglekar directed the film.

Nana Patekar played an eccentric man, Bhootya; Saksham Kulkarni played the little boy, Chiklu and Narayani Shastri played Shaloo.

Nana Patekar
When contacted, Narayani said, "I am not here to clarify anything to anybody. I am supposed to be simultaneously dating three men (read Nana Patekar, Gaurav Chopra and Anuj Saxena). Please leave me alone."

On being probed further, Narayani added, "Nana and I are very good friends. We have been in touch after we worked together in Pak Pak Pakaak. When I get friendly with someone, I make it a point not to lose contact."

Does she go out often with Nana? She said, "Yes, Nana and I go out together. But doesn't the world do that? Why single me out?"

We then asked her what she likes about Nana. "I refuse to answer any more questions," said an irritated Narayani.

We called Nana who was his usual succinct self. "Aisi faltu baton ke liye mujhe phone mat karo (please don't call me for such things)," he said, and hung up.

Ashita jinxed

On being asked about her experience on the show, this is what she had to say. "1st of all it is extremely difficult for me. But I am thoroughly enjoying myself. My day starts at 7'o clock in the morning and gets over at 2 o'clock in the night, and I am loving every moment of it". Ashita is also working in a television serial called Bidaai. When asked about her schedule this is what she says, "My schedule is extremely tight. But at the end of the day I am content."

But she was in middle of an accident on the location. We asked her to throw some light on the incident. "It was actually a wardrobe malfunction. I was dancing for the retro round. One of the dancers had to unhook my skirt and put it back on. But my dancer did not hook my skirt back properly. As a result my skirt fell off. I managed to hold it and strap it on. Had it fallen I would have stopped dancing. The worst part is this is the third time such a thing is happening with me since I have come on the show. In the first week in the khallas round my dupatta stuck on to my hair clip. Then in the next week the strap of my dress broke. And now this happened. Even yesterday when I was rehearsing I was using a mashaal as a prop. And suddenly in the middle of my dance my mashaal broke. Sometimes I wonder why is it always me?"

But we wish Ashita the best of luck and hope she stays away from bad omen'

Manish Goel relieved from back pain!

He says, "I don't know from where this back pain originated but yes when I'm not performing I have to take rest and now I'm also taking physiotherapy sessions."

He adds, 'I have been doing heavy work-outs and sleeping in the wrong position which has caused me a lot of pain. I was taking a Solar Therapy regularly and I'm doing little bit of exercises so that I can dance in Zara Nach Ke Dikha. Whatever performances I have given have been appreciated by the judges and my fellow colleagues."

The actor is also writing biographies of his and his family members. About his son Aryaveer and his school admissions, he says, "My son has got admission in the prestigious Jamnabai School in Juhu and that's a great relief."

Before this reality show, Manish was seen in Say Shava Shava and Nach Baliye 1 where he and Poonam ended up as runner-ups.

Grand blessing for Rupali!

Says Rupali, "Yeah. It's a great feeling that my nani had come to see my dance at this age. She is above 80 and had time to come. From my childhood I was very close to my nani and whatever I'm today is because of her blessings and nothing more than that. She has taught me how to be a good human being. Can you imagine she was there till the whole shooting which shows her willing to stay back at this age also?

Further she says, "It's also a very emotional moment for me and as well as for my parents who have time to see my show live but at the same time I'm very nervous to perform in front of her. She feels very proud of whatever I have done till now in the industry."

Ok so how is ZND going? "Lots of dance and masti but at the same time lots of hard work."

Rupali Ganguly has done many serials but she became famous through Sarabhai vs Sarabhai as Monisha.

Karan Singh Grover missing the dance floor

How is the ZND experience?

I'm loving the idea of boys vs girls and it's great to do anchoring as here there won't be any tension for me but at the same time I'm missing the dance floor. I go crazy when it comes to dancing and I'm missing Shraddha. I'm thankful that she is not in the team of mithi churi ladkiyaan. Even she loves this concept of dance where there is no elimination.

According to you who are strongest and funniest contestants from both the sides?

Among the Tez Talwar Ladke it's Bhaktiyar, Ali Asgar, Chaitanya Choudhary while among Mithi Churiyaan it's Mouni Roy, Karishma Tanna and sometimes Delnaaz Paul also.

So are you enjoying your new act of anchoring?

Oh yes it's wonderful and as an actor I got to know how to anchor. There is less hard work but at the same time you have to concentrate more on the anchor script. I knew before doing Dil Mil Gaye that I will be anchoring for Star. I'm happy with anchoring and again Zara Nach Ke Dikha has everything emotion, romance and masti.

What's happening in Dil Mil Gaye?

Lots happening in the life of Dr.Aarmaan and his love. Our love track has started so lots of masti and love is happening.

Q If you were the Indian cricket team's captain…
I'd make lots of money by doing many endorsements. After all, cricket has now become a symbol of just endorsing products.

Q If you were invisible, what pranks would you have played and on whom?
After becoming invisible, I would go to the stock market and find out all the secrets of the place. I would be able to invest in stocks that can make me rich.

Q If you meet a ghost in a desolate house…
I would ask him about Ekta Kapoor's next project and if I fit any of the roles in that serial. That would be good.

Q The most embarrassing moment of your life…
A girl proposed to me post-marriage, and I wasn't able to react to her proposal instantly. It was after a chat with my wife Tanaaz that I realised I could have said no politely. It was very embarrassing for me.

Q What do you consider most annoying when you are on your first date?
People getting after you for an autograph when you are out for a date can get a bit irritating. Anything that can ruin our romantic mood would upset me.

Q If you wake up to find you are the last man alive on this planet, what would you do and why?
It would be so exciting to be the last man on the planet. I would roam around the streets, malls and parks in my undergarments. There would be no one to watch me and I would not feel embarrassed at all. It would be me and only me.

Q What would you like to be written as your epitaph?
If you have it flaunt it, if you don't have it, shut up and sit down, but don't shout.

Q What would you do if you woke up in the morning and found that you have metamorphosed into a woman?
I'd go and party with women and try to know what they think about me.
Moreover, I'd like to know what women gossip about. Like we boys have certain things we often talk about, I'd like to know the interesting things women talk about and gossip with them.

Q Who are three people on your hit list?
The production company I'm working with, my production manager and all the untalented people around me.

Q If you happen to meet God, how will you greet him?
"Hey dude! How are you?" I would treat Him as one of my best friends.

cheers
