Kairi’s journey explores the complexities of love, relationships, and everyday life, reflecting both innocence and charm. Ashi’s nuanced performance brings Kairi to life, creating an instant connection with viewers who find her relatable and heartfelt.
A Personal Connection to Navratri
With the festive season of Navratri in full swing, Ashi Singh shared her personal connection with the festival and how she celebrates it, blending tradition with fun. Navratri, for Ashi, is a time of joy, devotion, and colorful festivities, offering a chance to embrace cultural roots while enjoying vibrant celebrations.
Talking about her Navratri experience, Ashi said, “I’m from North India, and back home, Navratri was always about Mata ka Jagrata, the puja, and the rituals. But I have always been fascinated by Garba and Dandiya. When I came to Mumbai, I really tried to learn Garba. I’m still learning because it’s just nine days a year, so it’s not easy! The vibe here in Mumbai during Navratri is incredible. When you look around, everyone is wearing the same colors as you, following the concept of nine colors for nine days. I love that idea. I continue to do the puja and vrat I grew up with, and it gives me a sense of home.”

The Joyful Spirit of Garba Evenings
Ashi adds that evenings during Navratri are the most exciting part for her. “In the evenings, I often go with my family, and sometimes with friends, to Garba grounds. Sometimes we play Garba, and sometimes we simply watch others enjoying themselves. It’s such a joyous and vibrant atmosphere, and it really uplifts your spirits. The energy, the music, the colors — everything makes you feel connected to the festival and to the people around you.”
Through her words, Ashi not only shares her love for Navratri but also highlights how cultural traditions, even when celebrated away from home, can create a sense of belonging and joy. Her enthusiasm for Garba and the Navratri festivities reflects her zest for life and her ability to find happiness in both old traditions and new experiences.
