I can't pin point which part of ur post i liked the most .. (i am normally very good at editing) .. cause its a flow of sublime words ..

Ruby ... one line in your entire post stands out ... It is ...

This post is dedicated to SONALI JAFFAR ... take a bow lady ... u delivered in spades ... & a humble thank u ...

Absolutely true ... my entire thought is dedicated to this woman ... today .. my brilliant goes to her ... only and only to her.

If I have to summarize the entire episode in one word ... it will be LETTING GO.

Falling in Mohabbatein with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein with each passing moment.

P.S.: I am also putting this post separately in the forum as after my Yearning OS, this piece gave a me a creative satisfaction while writing 😳😳.

Hugs to you to put such an eloquent post 🤗

Bhanu ...🤗

Please accept my heartfelt condolence for ur loss

what can i say after such a post ...
I am an objective viewer of the show .. while i appreciate good work .. it very very rarely moves me ... but tonite yet again i have been moved by you ...

They say a good writer always shares a part of themselves in their work & only work that comes out from the heart touches the heart ... Everytime i read a word written by you ... its touched my heart ... Sublime read ...

The shows BG score .. PAL PAL BADHE YEH HAI MOHABBATEIN .. well nothing describes what we as viewers go thru everyday with this show .. each day we fall a bit deeper in the pit of love called YHM ...

Sonali Jaffar .. u know a lot of people may wonder why Sonali .. & not the screenplay writer ... if i ever do a technical analysis .. the screenplay writer will get it in spades from me .. tonite the show belonged to 3 people .. the STORY WRITER for the brilliance of a FULL ROUNDED SCRIPT ..& to the director who interpreted this full rounded script & delivered in spades .. & finally to that one great .. RAMAN BHALLA .. he understood the story .. he listened thru the directions of the director .. & then he added the spice of KARAN PATEL .. & what we got was BRILLIANCE ...

This weeks episodes was not culmination of a track .. it was the summation of a show ... each & every problem in this show was dealt with within a week .. to reach a crescendo in its finale which was the saturday episode ...

The precap promised the start of NEW BEGINNINGS in A NEWTIME BAND ..

I dont blame a lot of people for the angst with the show .. most people normally see a portion of drama in isolation .. they just see the scene & react ... but no scene of such momentous happening is just a single scene ... it finds its resonance in the past episodes ..

When one saw the entire episode of fridays with the lens of Ishita & how this woman came to this point from Dec 3, 2013 .. then the whole episode will make sense ..

The writer of the show .. Sonali Jaffar created the character called Ishita Iyer .. she would probably have more understanding of that character than any of us . so we need to trust her .. there are a lot of times when we feel we ourselves have reacted to a situation "out of character" .. so why not the lead of a show ..

When u love something & start relating to it .. u think the characters have come alive .. thats the power of good writing .. but that also makes the content to be viewed without the lens of objectivity .. Raman & Ishita are characters of a show .. & in a show .. every thing has to be OTT & larger than life .. simply so that we as a viewer may connect to it ..

On bringing Param home ... i had asked a simple question who else would bring Param home but ISHITA .. no one in that household cud've taken that decision .. & if Param did not come home ..there was no way to either remove the scales of Simmi's eyes nor was there a way to protect Simmi .. As a brother as a parent ... would one knowingly send away their daughter (however blinded she may be) and a small baby to live with a man like PARAM .. & if Simmi was forcefully separated from Param it would result in RAMAN PART 2 .. there was already a man in that house who was suffering because of holding on to his past .. would one willingly make Simmi suffer with the same..

Ishita Iyer nee Bhalla is a woman who has a very DEVELOPED sense of SOCIAL AWARENESS .. she is truly a PURE & NICE SOUL ..SHE HAS THE CONVICTION OF RIGHT ... she has the capability to love ... she has the capability to love selflessly .. she has the capability to love without conditions ... its for this reason this woman was able to EMBRACE a CHILD .. it was for this reason this woman was able to marry a man like Raman who she hated & who hated her ... all for her selfless nature & her need to nurture ...
When u view her with this lens .. her actions though sometimes unpalatable .. one can still understand

Even I was like the viewer whom u have described, taking the scene as it is shown and not think abt the characters, their thought process. But since IPKKND, reading ur posts, I have tried to look like the way u do. And YHM has so much depth, so very different from IPKKND, that after watching an episode, even when i have to sleep, I keep thinking abt the episode, creating my own scenarios, it has also made slightly crazy.

loved the way u have described ishitas character. waiting to watch what will be the response of Ashok and suraj when mihir takes the marriage proposal, and of course will Raman do the usual, taunt, tease withdraw, or going to genuinely say something nice. But I think Ishu will first apologise for suspecting him and then say something nice to raman.

Ok I will go some ishra scenes and catch some zzz.

This post's title is apt. In totality every moment today made it seem like Hum Saath Saath hain.

Today he had indeed healed and moved on. A few nights before when on the bench outside a party event, Ishita had told Raman that he hadn't moved on, because he was still bitter. And that meant he still hurt and Shagun still mattered. But today it didn't matter what Shagun had done years ago, what mattered was what she would do today, if she didn't get her chance to move on and live her life. He was desperate to put the ghosts of past behind him, so that he could move ahead and embrace a new life.

It was important for her to know Raman has moved on, because that is when her insecurities will leave her and she will put her everything into this marriage and NOT JUST - Ruhi ke liye.

It came full circle for the wrong - for Shagun.

It came full circle for Raman - Who got his revenge even without trying for it.

For Ishita - who had finally got her Raman.

And now Raman was leading Mihir to come to full circle too. Pushing him to leave the past behind and embrace a new life.

ANKU .. take a HUG darling ... 🤗

My post has probably covered every nuance in the episode but 2 ...

One was the curse word that Raman utters when he hears how Shagunn had manipulated Ishita
& the other is the smile that Raman gave after he finished hugging Mihir when he first caught a glimpse of ISHITA ...

I never cover every aspect of an episode in my post ..hoping someone notices it & would bring it up .. Hugs to u for pointing out the BIG moment @ BOLD RED ...

yes he was concerned about his brother .. & how his brothers life was getting ruined by simply being a slave to his past .. exactly like he had been a slave to his past ..

BUT BUT BUT .. in all this there was a BIG CONCERN for his WIFE .. ISHITA RAMAN BHALLA
he says the words .. if she is happy she will leave us alone .. if she is not happy she will constantly interfere in their life ... & see how she had interfered .. his absolutely pure gullible wife had become a victim of Shagun's diabolic plot ...

So the most important underlying message of the entire MIHIR RAMAN CONVO is .. RAMAN's CARE FOR HIS WIFE ... ISHITA ...

Now i urge all to go back & view that scene with this lens .. the care of a husband .. the protection of a husband .. the promise of a husband ...

In a way ... RAMAN sat for a puja with his wife .. a puja across the sacred fire .. then he stood up to protect her .. DID HE BY ANY CHANCE ... deliver on the SAATH VACHAN ...

Think about this ... this was Raman delivering in spades on the marital promise ...

For rich or for Poor
In sickness & in health
Forsaking all others
Till death do us apart ...

Now look at the puja scene .. Ishita places her palm below Raman's palm but leaves a gap .. a gap which Raman closes .. by cupping her palm from below .. holding the hand & linking it to his ...

This is the genius of the writer of the show ..

On the smile .. i still have hopes someone interprets that smile .. it was a very big moment in the romance that is YHM 😉

Bhanu... I so know what you mean about wanting one moment with someone you loved and lost - I lost my grandma last year, the only one I ever had and knew - my Nani, when she passed away in July. My dad' mom my daadi passed away when he was barely 10 so I never even got to see her, but my Naani had been such a loving soul, such a compassionate woman and of course she adored me as I am the only granddaughter she had - I am the only daughter in my immediate family as none of my uncles - on my mom or dad' side have any, so I was and am always more treasured, the fact I am also the eldest amongst us has also been in my stride, so yeah I could get away with murder if I want in a way because of this.

Last year a day before she passed away my mum and I passed by her home but we had to rush to a bank because we were in a hurry and couldn't stop over to meet her as we usually dropped by to meet her.

She had been keeping unwell owing to age and hence the health related problems, at 84 it was even not out of the norm so we decided we would meet her the next day or over the weekend to make up for this missed visit...only we got a call the next evening, when we couldn't make it to her place even the next day she is no more - so if I could, I would trade in the world for a chance to hug my grandma again... we all have regrets and missed opportunities but that is what life is... it takes you by surprise, it follows its own course.

Aani .. a big Jadoo ki Jhappi to you girl ... 🤗.

As you brilliantly said ... we all have regrets and yearnings in our life however life takes its own course ... Man proposes God disposes ...

Grandparents are indeed a relationship to be cherished ... I see that relationship between my niece and my in laws ... as you said .. my niece is the only granddaughter and she can get away with murder with them ... Needless to say ... she is the apple of everyone's eyes including me ... I 😳😳

😆 *hides*

..coming from you ( or Ruby ) it means alot..so I'l take it 😕😆 ..err todays limit was my blah blah version on rain dance in Ruby's old topic 😛

Aani sorry to hear about your grandma *hugs*<3
First Bhanu's and then reading about yours brought back LOTS of memories for me too. Shared lil about my loss on Bhanu's topic.

I have my grandma (mom's mother) with us though we live far apart now. She's the only grandparent I got to know. For Grandma, losing my mum ( her eldest daughter ) was so painful. EVERY SINGLE time i look at my grandma, i see my mother in her...so every visit is an emotional one.

..And true Aani.. missed opportunities, regrets , losses, all are part of us we just have to deal with...and move on.
