Bhanu... I so know what you mean about wanting one moment with someone you loved and lost - I lost my grandma last year, the only one I ever had and knew - my Nani, when she passed away in July. My dad' mom my daadi passed away when he was barely 10 so I never even got to see her, but my Naani had been such a loving soul, such a compassionate woman and of course she adored me as I am the only granddaughter she had - I am the only daughter in my immediate family as none of my uncles - on my mom or dad' side have any, so I was and am always more treasured, the fact I am also the eldest amongst us has also been in my stride, so yeah I could get away with murder if I want in a way because of this.

Last year a day before she passed away my mum and I passed by her home but we had to rush to a bank because we were in a hurry and couldn't stop over to meet her as we usually dropped by to meet her.

She had been keeping unwell owing to age and hence the health related problems, at 84 it was even not out of the norm so we decided we would meet her the next day or over the weekend to make up for this missed visit...only we got a call the next evening, when we couldn't make it to her place even the next day she is no more - so if I could, I would trade in the world for a chance to hug my grandma again... we all have regrets and missed opportunities but that is what life is... it takes you by surprise, it follows its own course.

Another beautiful write-up, Ruby! Like I always say, an episode, especially a landmark one, is just not complete without your narration and analysis..and Aani and Bhanu's insights and description of the nuances in each scene perfectly complement your post. You guys really enhance the journey and experience, and make me fall in love with the show even more! Thank you for that.

There is nothing more I have to say that hasn't already been told, so eloquently, in all the posts. Just want to express my appreciation to the whole team of YHM for having put in their best efforts to create magic on our screens with this power-packed episode. Firstly the script, yes, which cannot be conveyed to us without the deep vision of the director, and the meaningful and apt dialogues, and the outstanding and mesmerizing performances by the actors..the camera shots, the close-ups...each and every person has worked in tandem to create this beautiful piece which just fills my heart...

- "When you forgive and let go, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future. You will only begin to heal when you let go of the past hurts and forgive those who have wronged you. There is no peace without forgiveness".

Before I end this post I have to mention this - the title - it reminds me of a scene from the same movie - when Tabu' dad says he never had to teach his daughter things about their culture or values - she imbibed them all on her own - he failed to understand it before but couldn't until now - cos she was meant to become a part of this family ...somehow those sentiments ring true for Mihir as well today - who chose to follow the path of righteousness for his adopted family, because of a man he looked up to rather than succumb to the lure of his own flesh and blood - why because somewhere even he was meant to fit in this puzzle of the Iyer- Bhalla clan, somewhere his journey, his trials were integral to the coming together of Ishita and Raman Bhalla - time and again - as they had their first moment of attraction that was subdued when they were caught up in the rains after Ishita saw Raman' goodness for the first time when the man who had fought with her, insulted her moments ago saved her from thugs to this moment where she once again saw the same man, now her husband in a new light - in a way that made her love him even more than she did before and admit it to herself for the first time - he is hers.

Aani ... take a tight HUG darling ...

Let me share something with u ... it takes me lesser time to write a post than it takes me to think up the title for it ...
Yesterday as we talked on PM .. between the time it took to post the link & between our convo was simply because i grappled with the title .. Whispering Shadows was what i first thot of ... but yes it would describe the episode ... the journey of YHM .. but it would not do justice to the CONCLUSION ..

Thats when Hum Saath Saath Hai struck me .. to me Sooraj Barjatya is GOD .. i often say if this guy runs a blank screen on theatres i would find that sublime .. this man knows the values of relations & how to project them on celluloid .. like no one else ...

I don't think many people really focus on the title of my post ... am ok wit that .. its a personal achievement for me to nail my message with a right title ... BUT tonite as i sat to read ur post ... i was so so so happy .. Thank u for spending time on the title .. the title encapsulates the show ...

Its not just the picture of a happy family ... couples who stood together .. that instigated me to title the post ... but the title is the show .. which started with the 2 protagonists .. who had BROKEN lives & homes ... they come together ... albeit under duress .. they fight .. they bicker ... they disagree ... but for both of them ... each time they have been in trouble the other has stood up to help & solve the problem ...

Uptill this point .. they walked different roads ... they were parallels ... but they were always together ...
The reason for choosing the title is the DISPLAY PICTURE of the show itself

Two people going in oppo directions .. but joined by RUHI ... if u go bak & see them from their first meeting at the dental clinic ... they have been TOGETHER ...

About ur post ... what can i say that i have not said before ... like i told u last time .. once again i had to read ur post to get coherence of what i had written

THANK U šŸ¤—

Now where and, more importantly, how do I start? I can go on saying , this is fantastic, amazing, mindblowing, eye opening etc. but then whatever I say or write about your thought process will not be enough..

Starting with the title of the post -I, for one, am glad you didn't call it Shadows - to me it's a bit brooding and lingering - and yesterday was more about breaking free. But yes, one can never get rid of his shadow.
Instead I loved how you started the post speaking about sunshine and light just for the progressiveness and hope it depicts

You have perfectly worded the journey of a man from darkness to light.

Darkness - by definition- is simply, the absence of light. But then there is no stopping light. It just needs a little opening to fill you and open your eyes to what is around you.
A man who was forcing himself to live in a dark tunnel when light was beckoning him, a beacon he was not ready to embrace for his own good. He has seen light today. Finally!

The words you wrote --
He looked around at the carcass of a dead past... & wondered why did he hold on to it ... all he could see behind him was DARKNESS.. & then he looked up .. .& looked at the STROKE OF LIGHT .. A STROKE OF SUNSHINE ... THE pure radiance of TRUTH shown out of that light .. the light which showed him the way ...
--pitch perfect and very deep. So love you for that.

My 2 (se zyada šŸ˜›) cents on this

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There.. finally finished typing, I rest my case and more importantly my fingers šŸ˜›.
Itna school/college mein likhti to ab tak NASA mein hoti. Khair koi nahi.
Waise, newspaper clip had hinted on PP ka role in the back-story

Swathi ...

I have understood now its this thread ... u r now a strong contender in our fight for most words in a post ... think aani is winning today .. but babe ur one to watch out for ..šŸ˜‰

I for one ... am glad that u did write this in such depth ... if i had not read this i would've lost out ... the attention to detailing .. the explanation of every nuance ... such a brilliant delve into the show ... it kept me wondering .. whoa why is this over .. would;ve loved to read on ...

I can't pin point which part of ur post i liked the most .. (i am normally very good at editing) .. cause its a flow of sublime words ..
Star should take up Yours & Aani's post & put it on their website .. its like a reckoner of the show till date .. beautiful beyond words ...

LOVED IT TO BITS .. šŸ¤—
