Hey Bhanu lovely update and really thank you for appreciating my works
To begin with I would like to say we are so in sync here when it comes to Subu 😛 - yes, yes he is a coward in my opinion too... now whether that cowardice stemmed from his own inability to accept Ishita' infertility or because he was emotionally blackmailed by that witch of a woman his mom is a different thing but I could only see a coward in him in the one scene where he is shown breaking off things because he doesn't even face Ishita when he does so.. she is there right behind him and he knows and has his back to her... he couldn't even face her so YAY so happy to see someone who has a similar wavelength here 😛
I am so glad this crappy track happened because it made you write this and made me feel I am not alone in my thinking here 😆
And as for Ishita' way of dealing things - yes she has just bottled it up, kept it at bay as you said.. maybe because she could see what her falling apart would do to her parents... even in her pain Ishita cannot be selfish and just forget those around her... she put a lid on things so that her parents esp her Amma don't suffer - her tears are for no one else.
And I agree there is no chance in hell that Subbu doesn't have regrets/residual feelings even now for Ishita even if he is married and with a child. They were together since the age of 15 as per the show, which makes me too believe they were friends, childhood sweethearts in a way who came to terms with their importance/the attraction for each other when they reached an age where being only friends wasn't an option left open to them. Honestly if you watch closely in the 6 dec epi, the moment Ishita lies she is dating Raman/has someone called Raman in her life, his face says it all - like he cant believe his ears... the fact Ishita is moving on and it socked him in the gut to say the least.
I would compare things to fire and ice here if I have to compare their pasts - Raman' is so full of fire because he was brutally betrayed at the hands of a woman who was also the mother of his two children by a man he considered his mentor no less, so it made him this man - one who loathes to respect anyone because the two people he kept on a pedestal so to speak in his life - his wife, a woman he practically loved crazily, blindly worshiped and a man he looked up to - who was his ideal, both played him... that set him on fire. Ishita and Subbu their have their relationship in this cold war kinda zone, everything frozen, standing still in time between them - they are too afraid to touch any issue not because they cant deal with them but because Ice can be as much destructive as fire too.

Coming to the UD lol - I ranted way too much as it is - I loved how Ishita narrated her story to Raman. She let him get a basic premise of what her life was and I loved the way you ended it with her admitting she is alone. that was a stroke of genius my friend 😉 and I loved how Raman is questioning his feelings for Ishita here too but also realizing he knows zilch about Ishita, he never even asked her about anything on his own volition.. and would love an UD with Ishu and Subbu.
PS dont think you would be the only member of a Subbu AT - Reens, Mallu and I - we were the three musketeers so far on this crusade to want him back so far and now we have you 😛 our fourth... so while the rest are still to be seen you can have a guarantee we would be there with ya 🤣
