Saiyaara is trending at the Indian box office and is already an all-time blockbuster. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s movie is running to full houses in all parts of India. Whether it is urban or rural centres, the craze is unprecedented. As per estimates, the second weekend collections of Saiyaara are even better than first one. Saiyaara is estimated to make Rs 26 crore on its second Saturday. It had opened with Rs 21.5 crores on Friday. The Mohit Suri movie is the most successful romantic film at the Indian box office beating the numbers of Kabir Singh. It is the highest grossing Indian movie of the year after Chhaava.
The Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda film is supposed to make Rs 32 crores on Sunday. So far, it has made above Rs 250 crores worldwide at the box office. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s powerful performances, the music and Mohit Suri’s emotional story-telling have left audiences engrossed. We have seen how people broke down in theatres after seeing the film. People had been waiting for a good romantic film after a spate of action masala entertainers. Saiyaara's title track is also in the top 50 of the Spotify Global chart. Other numbers like Barbaad and Dhun are also being loved by people.
Lyricist Irshad Kamil spoke about how Mohit Suri worked with the musicians and song-writers for a year. He said the title track was like a culmination of all the emotions experienced by Ahaan Panday's character Krish Kapoor. Kamil praised Panday saying that he is good at lip syncing a skill most modern Bollywood actors seem to lack in. He said songs that have good lip sync resonate more with viewers. The Rs 300 crore mark is the next milestone for Saiyaara. With War 2 coming after 18 days, they have time to touch the Rs 400 crore figure as well.
