and also i am wondering why was Meghana Malik not nominated in best actress category... if surekha sikri and rashmi desai are nominated then why not Meghana... after all her role is more powerfull than Dadisa and Tapasya

Revathy, honestly you really shouldn't ask me WHAT all I'm frustrated about regarding SGP right now cuz if I start listing it all out, ppl here are going to get all the more "hurted" over the "negativity" I'm spouting🥱

I'm not in the mood to give Jay credit for anything when Ragini was hands down more deserving.....SPA is just nautanki, granted...but ITAs were also supposed to be SP biased awards.....and Ragini didn't win anything despite being the only person nominated for both jury and popular awards.....amazing.

Maybe Ragini should slap on a pair of glasses and start giving 2-3 standard champu expressions....she'll probably end up getting an award soon then.

To merely ...state that Surekhaji won for the reason of RESPECT....etc etc..is gross INSULT to her talent...and ability....!! However..i totaly agree when we say. that its a case of wrong categorisation..!!

Hey hang on...where did I say surekha won out of respect or that she is not deserving, please don't jump into conclusions 😆...I merely stated a pattern among Indian mentality which needs to grow out of the thinking. Let me clarify, the point of comparing to the west is to simply indicate that there is nothing wrong nominating actors in the same category irrespective of their age. Frankly I don't see why ragini should not be placed in the same category as the other senior actor.

And yes, I perfectly understand even the oscars have not been awarding based on merit always and they have goofed up numerous times before.

With judges who hv th know all...of the business..😕 why is the audience being blamed....for no fault of theirs?? N i dun think the judges rewarded her out of respect either... Again with regards to my pattern theory, I am not just referring to the entire audience but the jury or whoever has influenced in deciding these awards. You don't have to agree with me, I understand your POV as well....frankly I haven't seen surekha ji's work, so I would rather not make any comments without knowing, for all I know she could be well deserving. why everyone is only talking about the category ragini was nominated and the competition she faced from senior actress in that category..there was only one senior actress in that category....

what about the category in which jay was nominated and he won.... Deven Bhojani Ronit roy Sudesh berry... all these were nominated in the same category..... and what was the result... jay won..... jay is a better actor than all the above mentioned actors.... this is unbelievable..... where does he stand when compared to these actors...... jay's winning has more to do with the luck than talent....

for me SGP means Ragini and Ragini means SGP... i watch this show only for her... she deserved an award but she did not win... so it doesn't matter to me if sgp wins an award or any of her co actors....

Raginni is a brilliant actress, love her in all the roles she did. So sad she's not acknowledged for that.

Revathy, I am not a Ragini fan, but I must agree with you here... her character is out of the norms thus making it hard for her to win awards, which have become a joke these days.
I wonder why you have to cry, weep, and act like an "abla nari" to get these pathetic awards. I cannot stand characters, who cry all the freaking time and if you try to add a light & realistic touch to a particular character... well then you aren't good enough to be the main stream bahu, who gets all the awards. To be honest, these days I only watch these awards to catch up on some lovely performances if there are any other than that rest is bakwaas. No credibility what so ever.
