I m working in an organisation..n am one of th youngest Managers... but my work...n expectations from me...are at par and actually even more to the others who are over 40 n been in the organisation for past 15yrs ....thats life......so to think that while grading i should b apprised separately than my seniors....well its impractical..😉 another thing.. a Sachin Tendulkar ..made his debut at the age of 17 in a group of legends like Gavaskar Ravi Shastri n Kapil Dev....😳 but Sachin is Sachin.. n he became a legend...!!

Calibre isnt subject to age.....n of wat we see of Ragz ...we knw.. today or tomorrow..she will shine on the horizon *which she is right now as well* as th brightest stars.......😊

And yep.. wrong category... i agree ..😆 but for me... RD is the best this year...in terms of any actress in any role...so kudos to her..😳 !!

LOL Revathy.....yeh tumne kya point out kar diya.....arey yaar....you're not supposed to question why Ragini is NEVER given an award....be happy that Jay Soni and SGP won awards.....who cares about Ragini?? SGP is all sunshine and rainbows....let's applaud THAT.

The general population seems to think that Ragini OVERACTS as Suhana.....and since she's not a weeping bahu or a scheming villain, she obviously doesn't count......Jay hai naa soooooo much more deserving....first the SPAs and now the ITAs....both awards favored more heavily towards SP shows and he won both....how does Ragini matter? Suhana? Suhana who?? She toh just shrieks and shouts....why would SHE deserve an award?

@bold I agree, I think you have nailed it here....the style of laughing or throwing temper tantrums go so well with the character portrayal, however ppl percieve that as being overdone 😕

@laxmi and shounak - About pitting Ragini against senior actors, again I think the problem here is with our Indian mentality, we always have this certain level of respect for elderly people that one would be hesitant to award a younger talent when an experienced and senior is also in the race.

Now, doesn't this happen in the west where you have meryl streep being nominated 13 times(almost every year) with the newer breed of actors and yet she has managed to win the oscar only twice. So it is necessary to grow out of that thinking.

Yep, sadia and deepak are true deserving actors indeed. I would also like to add Panna to the list 😊

@bold: ok... rashmi won an award.... though she was nominated in wrong category.... but to say she is the best this year and that too in terms of any actress in any role.... now this is too much.....
isn't Meghana Malik's Ammaji more powerful character than Tapasya and also meghna a better actor than Rashmi... i believe rashmi is parallel lead not main lead...

what if rashmi was nominated in Best actress in negative role category along with Meghana malik... did she stand a chance to win an award then....dont think so....

and also i am wondering why was Meghana Malik not nominated in best actress category... if surekha sikri and rashmi desai are nominated then why not Meghana... after all her role is more powerfull than Dadisa and Tapasya

LOL anu, I can see that you are frustrated too about Ragini not winning. I have never cared about SPA, have always been bogus set of awards jus a way of self-promotion for star plus,,,,

@bold Word anu...I fail to understand that really, sadly that is still right with the case of Indian audience,...why can't we recognise when something new or different is being offered. I am not trying to take credit away from Jay, he has done a commendable job so far yes, but his bholu character, has worked in his favour for winning the award. No offence intended

Well dear i knw d comment isnt replied to me but i m wondering why is age being made an issue?? U cite d example of Meryl Streep..... n that apparently... West honors based on merit... so well i dunno how u react to Nicole Kidman winning for The Hours..n not Meryl Streep...😆 n well for wat..her famous NOSE...😆 and the fact that all three roles of Meryl Julianne Nicole were in equal parts?? There are countless examples i can cite... but i dun mean to get into a debate..!!

A katherine Hepburn (Oscars most decorated best actress wineer) won an Oscar for best actress for On the golden pond....well in her twilight years defeating a very young n LEGENDARY meryl streep 😆

To merely ...state that Surekhaji won for the reason of RESPECT....etc etc..is gross INSULT to her talent...and ability....!! However..i totaly agree when we say. that its a case of wrong categorisation..!!
