Along with u..even i dun think Jay Soni is a phenomenal actor....i m only sad to see tat majority are crediting SGPs success to Ragz and not to Jay...whereas for me.. Supriya ji and Jay have really been equally awesome in th show...!! Ofcourse.. Jay these days..is irritating the hell out of me.. n indeed he needs to improve..!!

@red: lol...My words are getting lost in translation here. I did not say Ragini was a "bad" actor. My exact words were about her not being "much of a good actor". There is a clear difference between the two. What I meant was that I didn't perceive her as that good an actor because of the similarity in all the roles she has played i.e. lack of versatality.
I don't know what everyone else is saying but I definitely don't credit the success of SGP to the actors in particular. The people behind the scenes like the writers, directors etc have more to do with the success of the show than anyone else. Its their ideas that lead the story as well their guidance that helps the actors execute efficiently. And even if it is about actors then we can't say that the show is working only because of one person, specially not in the case of SGP, because this show is the collective effort of many actors and I think we all have appreciated every actor/character in the show, not just Ishaan or Suhana or Badi Maa. I think, the show would have not worked the way it has if things were only about Ishaan-Suhana. The essence of the show is the entire family, not just one or two characters.
The current problem with SGP is that the people who essentially build the story and guide everything have lost the way themselves. Sadly!

The same thing happened to her in SPA too...I remember her facial expressions...she was really hurt. Now she had to go through the trauma again, poor thing....seeing Jay get his 2nd award while she gets none.... awards are a form of appreciation most precious to an actor!!

Keep ur hopes up Ragini, the next one will be yours gal, just put in the hard work!!!

About the other nominees..it was a reply to someone elses post...😉 And indeed. imo...m gonna stick to it that.....Jay deserves just as much credit as Ragini....for SGPs success..

Nope I definitely do not agree or say that Ragini has been sole reason behind the show's success....an actor no matter how brilliant he or she maybe can never make a show work if the script, or screenplay or supporting cast or production cost do not add any value....we still have crap shows on television, where there are talented actors wasting their potential in an already dead script or stagnant character, however their presence does little to change the fate of the show. In that aspect, Ragini is indeed lucky to have gotten a good platform to showcase her talent, as not many get the same and happy for her.
However, I still don't shy away from crediting Ragini more than Jay....judging from what I have seen from the two of them...it's fine if you disagree
As for the reason behind SGP's success I think Sanu has already said it all.

Well i din say that Ragz is the sole reason either..i said majority are crediting Ragz for SGPs success 😉 and u hv said it already ...that in ur view u credit Ragz more than Jay..thats exactly my point of disagreement 😊 n ofcourse..we all hv our POVs 😳
But seriously... the script ..screenplay...tho these days dont seem at those initial highs..but yes..its far better than a lot of lame stuff we get on tv... this show has given a great platform to people like Moon who are seriously doing a great job 👏 !! Totally agree Ragz is lucky to get some of the most unique roles and this time.. the correct channel to shine 😊

I am really upset for Ragini not winning , but saying that I dont know what was her competition, may be they had better role , but Ragini has done a superb job in portraying Suhana, she has given so much to this character that we are forced to love Suhana even with so much tantrum which we would not tolerate otherwise, Ragini has portrayed the inner beauty of Suhana so well that we can see Suhana evolving , her scenes with Badi Maa desreved an award itself. So I would have to say that she has given variety in Suhana ,s character which can easily be termed as Versitality.

@Armu4Eva venture: I'm not denying the fact that Ragini has displayed a range of emotions whilst playing Suhana but when I say versatility I mean the overall characterization. All the characters Ragini has portrayed in different shows have been projected as being bubbly, vivacious & jovial. It would be something else to watch Ragini portray a mellow, sobre & subtle character. That was my point when I said that initially I didn't consider her overall character any different to the stuff she has done in the past.

Jay Soni till past has done small sidekick roles.... Who exactly are you trying to point at here?? I thought "hawt" heroes were of the variety of your beloved "mega hawt" Maan ji.....toh ab aapko kaunse outlaws nazar aa rahe hain?

Jay Soni has potrayed the role of a simple character quite simply.....and IMO to say that Ragini deserved the award MORE than Jay ...i totally disagree..!! LMAO....I will vehmently disagree with this forever....Ragini DEFFO deserves the award more than Jay....ANYDAY....and this is coming from a person who has been quite generous towards Jay's acting and Ishaan as a character for a LONG time.....but that doesn't blind me to Ragini's contribution to this show....she's literally the FACE of this show but is ignored time and again since she's playing an 'insane' LOUD character and Ishaan is the only "sane" person left to reward apparently🥱🥱

Like krait said.... Ragz is the jaan of SGP.... and frankly speaking it was only her performance which made me watch SGP.... so where does the concept of overacting stem up? I can't think of any other female winners enacting a SUHANA..... where as i can think of Ragz doing any other role ... be it negative or sober....and sure she will do full justice to those too......
Suhana is a complicated tubelight role and only Ragz can or has justified it.... she has added a comic touch to it without making it loud... and mde the NUT essence of SUHANA so much visible.....she has been real with it as much as possible........ YET she is not being awarded? SAD.... 😕

LOL hi Laxmi.....I'm trying to be calm...actually I don't really want to say anything much also cuz I've totally stopped watching the show and don't think I want to anymore either.

It's true like many ppl have pointed out in here that Suhana is such a unique character that it's hard to slot it into a category and the "acting" of it is hard to judge....soooooo many times I've read ppl dismissing Suhana as just a mad character and nothing else.....but honestly I've seen enough of the current crop of TV actresses to understand that had Ragini not been playing this character and the WAY she's playing it like you said, Suhana wouldn't be Suhana.....yes she's gotten a very interestingly written character but the way she brings it to life....the way she lights up the screen with her presence is not something that can be LEARNT....she just has that talent and when that talent is NEVER recognized, it's sad in my opinion.....In some of the emotional scenes toh she does SUCH a brilliant job that she makes us all cry.....that doesn't count for amazing acting?? Even if otherwise Suhana may be a loud character?

What I gather from these nominations/awards is that only high strung DRAMA is rewarded....I wonder....if Suhana's LOUDNESS was more focused on CRYING, would she have been rewarded then?? Instead she's wasting her time being "loud" in comic scenes....no one cares for that.

I'm getting the sense that Jay is being rewarded repeatedly just for playing BECHARA Ishaan.
