Alright, I have always been skeptical about the award shows format in India, be it in film or television industry,....it is very rare that genuine talent gets recognised here and awards are heavily influenced by the popularity factor rather than the talent of the actor. However I couldn't help feeling disappointed over the fact that she didn't win an award despite being being nominated in both categories, like seriously I thought she was more deserving than any of the actors(read both male/female) who have been nominated.

Now, I have not been a big ragini fan from the beginning of SGP,she has really grown on me after I had caught a few epis of her previous show Bhaskar bharti.Now, I understand this show wouldn't have had the popularity factor favoring her chances for winning an award, but SGP had the popularity factor too.

Okay, even if Suhaana might not have been as challenging as Bharti, but yet very few actors can portray an eccentric character like suhaana and still make it look credible....she has the ability to lift up even an average written scene or dialogue, a rare trait among Indian tv actors ..why is it so hard to recognise genuine talent 😕

Just felt like ranting out my frustration, any thoughts anyone?

Yes!!! She should have definitely won at least one award. It is very hard to portray a character like Suhanna but Ragini does it so easily and gracefully that it seems like its totally natural.

But even though she didn't win, we will always praise her for her dedication and hard work. She is a brilliant actress.

yeah Revathy.... me too was disappointed BIG time yesterday.... i know badi maa, ishaan and the serial itself won awards.... but Ragz did not win.... and that disppointment offset the joy i derived from other's success.... somewhere i am not at all convinced by the nominations categories... they shud have a separate one for the senior actors and separate one for the new talents.... the senior actors def. need to be awarded for their performance even if there is one in a million like LATAji who willingly withdraws her nominations to give the new talent a chance... their performance shud not be compared with the newcomers yaar.... so the option is to have a separate category for the new talents... else what will happen to their motivating factor yaar... an award will def. act as a motivator for them and boost their energy to perform better.... Ragz def. deserved an award and I am terribly upset with the categories... very UNFAIR...! Surekha sikri can be nominated as the best actress in negative role too as i guess she has won in that category last year too.... even Rashmi desai needs to be nominated in this category of negative role.... putting Ragz and surekha sikri in one frame.... yeh kahan ka nyay??😕

Totally agree with everyones post abt 'It being unfair on Ragz' ....she was an unwitting target to apathy for her past show ..thanks to the so-called lack of popularity (tho the TRPs were @2-3) ...on a channel which isnt considered in the TRP race!! This time round..there were TRPs... there was the channel backing...but again.. incorrect categorisation has taken away another chance for glory...

Its extremely sad to see Ragpie lose out.. yet AGAIN😭

However ...saying that there should b separate category for elders is really not fair...!! Surekha Sikri-Avika Gor were the reason for the success of BV ....ofcourse her categorisation was definitely incorrect this time round...but still ...Surekha is the lifeline of the show..and deserves acknowledgement.

While we all have our favourites and our POV ....we mite chose to think Ragz turn as Suhana as out of the world amazing...for me Rashmi is very very well deserving of her prize....coz like Surekha.. Tappo is the lifeline of Uttaran.... !! Whatever that show is ....majority of the credit goes to RDs awesome n powerful potrayal of Tappo....!! But yes..its true tat ITA has messed up by clubbing a NEGATIVE potrayal wit a Leading Role ...its actually outright shocking...

Really hope that things get better with the Indian Telly Awards...which are up next..😔

I guess...the Indian TV Industry is still not accustomed to appreciate or atleast recognise real talent like Ragini....I dont know why...I feel whenever she acts...she does it with full dedication..and I am saying it toally from a layman's POV and not as a Ragini Fanatic...Let it be her style of laughing,her expressions,crying,whatever...SHE IS BANG ON!I remember..when Ishaan came with his old suitcase..and Suhana said that there would be scorpions in it...and then later..she goes on to say..OMG...Is me toh cockroaches bhi ho sakti hai..she was PERFECT in that particular scene...anyone who is afraid of cockraoches would say the same thing immediately and react like that....I believe..ragini is one of the most under rated actors on tellywood....but thnks to STAR Plus...for giving some preference to Ragini after SGP....So glad that she is now everywhere on TV...but still..ek award to milna chahiye tha...I agree with laxmi di...The problem was with the nomination list itself..I mean...when u have someone like Surekha Sikri on the list...it is more than impossible to give the award to someone else...just the way its impossible to give an award to any other music director..when Oscar winner Ar Rehman is on the list..even if the other MD is deserving..*no offence to anyone..em a DIE HARD fan of AR.Rehman...I was just giving an example..nothing more..and nothing else*😊

And one more thing...along with Supriya ji,I wanted a nomination for Sadiya Siddique..who plays radha Bua..for supporting actress.......She atleast deserves a nomination😛...anyways..she won the award last year for Balika Vadhu..so its OK...But em really very happy for Supriya Ji😊

Tanu.... i said a sep. category for the senior actors as it wud be fair to judge them with their level competitors.... not a new comer.... newcomers shud be judged with people their level... giving a fair chance to compare their performance.... Surekha sikri is of naseeruddin shah's calibre yaar... i cannot think of comparing Ragz to his level at all... that does not mean she does not deserve for her performance.... She too deserved it this time...

Reg Tappu... i do agree she is an excellent actress and an excellent dancer.... very determined and ambitious..... i am glad she won for her efforts.... but my point is she and surekha sikri belong to the negative category.... why is RAGZ compared to them in the first place?? where does she fit in this category?

hey count me in too... me too happy about supriya.... yeah shaunak.... Sadia is a superb actress.....she too deserved an award....but again the categories r so limited...😡.... hey. me too fan of A.R. Rehman..😃.. he spells MAGIC for MUSIC..... but at the same time.... i am first to even criticise him if he goes overboard with his style of music...😡...He is my idol along with R.D.Burman..... these 2 r legends.... and have made a separate identity of their own in the world of music....😃
