Shreya Kalra's rumoured boyfriend Rishabh Jaiswal REACTS to her VIRAL video: 'Why are people overacting?’

A video from Tyla’s recent Mumbai concert has stirred unexpected controversy for actress and reality television star Shreya Kalra. The clip, which captures her enjoying the show while seated on a boy’s shoulders, has sparked criticism across social media. Many users questioned the moment, particularly because Shreya is currently in a relationship with actor Rishabh Jaiswal, leading to a wave of trolling and speculation. India Forums reached out to Rishabh to speak about the same and the actor, in an exclusive chat with us, addressed the ongoing chatter.

When asked about the viral clip and the rumors, Rishabh said, “First of all, the video which went viral, I do not think there is any problem in that. I personally do not find any problem in that because the guy who is there in the video is my brother from Varanasi. He is a very good friend of mine. Infact, I was the one who actually introduced him to Shreya. And it is a very normal thing. I do not know why people are overreacting to it. And they are again doing the same thing, just trolling another girl. Just enjoying the tea, the 'so called tea thing' is happening on Instagram which is not very funny. Maybe fun for them but not for us obviously.”

Sharing his thoughts on online morality policing, he added, “Everyone has their own boundaries, right? It is the two people involved who decide their own boundaries. Even if they are in a relationship, a friend or a parent or anyone, if they both have their boundaries clear, if they are comfortable with other people’s gesture, why do people have to intervene in that. Even if being a social figure or a public figure, even if people have an opinion, it is okay. You can have your opinion. But you cannot just abuse someone and you cannot just give negativity and hate to someone just because he or she has done a particular thing which you personally do not agree with. You can say that I do not like him or her or I love her or him, but you cannot abuse or say negative things which is not at all appropriate on social media. You can have your opinion but not hate. You cannot hate someone. If you are hating someone then you have too much time on social media bro. Then you should get a life.”

We asked her how has Shreya been reacting to the situation. Speaking about the same, Rishabh revealed, “Obviously, she is traumatised. She just called me and she is very shocked because a person like Shreya, she is someone who is very out there. She never hesitates in doing things. Woh sochti nahi hai kuch bolne se pehle, bachhi hai woh. She has always been like that. She says whatever comes to her mind, she does whatever comes to her mind regardless of what people will think and regardless of what will be her conclusion. Which is again a very nice quality to have. But now people are taking advantage of it and trolling her very badly which I personally feel is not right. You should have some sort of humanity. Not everything is for gossip.”

Rishabh also shared that both his mother and sister saw the video and had no objection. “Even they knew Vivek also because he is from Varanasi and they met him way back. They do not find any kind of problem in that. I do not know what is wrong with these people. I think our generation is getting way too insecure guys.”

Addressing whether he would release a public statement, Rishabh concluded, “No, I have said on my Instagram story that please, you are assuming wrong. I do not have any problem with that. That is it. We do not want to say anything more than this.”
