Jahan itne sab log saath saath hai, kisi bhi kaam ko sahi karne ka ek hee tarika nahin ho sakata. we should try to adjust with other people unless it's harmful/disrespectful for someone. itna sab likh rahe hain kya hua agar kuch post ignore kar dein & let everyone be happy.

MPL, I guess you havent read my post. I merely commented that having said that you felt other posts were spamming, you yourself go on to make a Hi Hello, Take Care Post.

i had no idea that a simple suggestion to transfer ads to signatures would be blown out of proportion like this. 😕 how does that suggestion equate to "musical tastes going to hell"? i would have said the same thing if any other contest or podcast was promoted in such a manner. but, that is just me.

if the mods think that this kind of promotion is beneficial, then please continue to do so. we simply gave our opinions. you dont have to implement any of them.

I become extremely unhappy whenever I see a post on Himesh, but does that mean that people should stop posting thread about Himmy. HELL NO. We cannot make everyone happy in life. If someone becomes unhappy listening to the golden clollection of RD, SD, Madan Mohan, and Naushad, then that's their problem, and they will have to live with it. Iam living with the Himmy posts, why can't they.

As long as the ads for RetroCafe are clean and not attacking anyone, it should stay. To tell you the truth, I would have never known about it if it was not promoted so well.

The Retro Cafe themes change every week, and should be advertised everyweek in the similar fashion.

As everything is resolved and settled now, I am not adding any smoke to this fire..

But, onething that i would like to say that, many people have been benifited by this publicity.. many of them have come to know about Retro Cafe and they are subscribing for it..

This is mainly for the youth who didnt get chance to listen to such wonderful songs composed by the great MD's.. Now days the songs composed and sung are no where nearer to the olden goldies.. I came to know about many songs only through retro cafe.. And tats y i advertised it.. I am in my early 20's and have never got chance to listen to such beautiful songs.. And i got so impressed with this and advertised it..

And anol da you please need not be sorry to us.. You have introduced this retrocafe to us.. Nothing else we need..

Last but not the least - I would like to ask Sorry to all those whom i have hurt.. I am so sorry if it has hurt u people.. I will surely see to it that i dont hurt people from now..

A great thread for a healthy debate and just could not restrain myself from participating here.It seems that the house is in favour of considering retro cafe promotion a spamming on the forum.I stand neutral in this case as i support the house as well as against it.

Spamming in IF according me is a conscious attempt of posting thoughtless words/expressions and going by this definition the 'endless' posts promoting IF Retro Cafe may be considered spamming and also may not be.

If each and every post was made with a conscious effort involving noble thoughs to promote Music and nothing but music ,it never qualifies for spamming.But if it was ever posted by any one of them as a routine activity following someone's instructions it becomes spamming.I always listened to the IF Retro Cafe and enjoyed it thoroughly. The rendezvous through the memory lane of glorious indian music is always a secret charm mystifying the greatness of our greats.I got irked by seeing those promotional posts at times when they featured as completely out of context but on the flip side i always knew that cause for those posts were always a noble one.

To cut the long story short i would like to urge those who have protested against the 'spamming' of IF Podcast to have a second thought and envision the reaosns behind it and not just in its textual context.I am sure we all will find the relevance of the whole thing and get the basic thing right- A post on IF podcast is aimed at promoting true music,its not just a marketing gimmick. Trust me thats the whole truth and ignore Twinkle's hair or Sanchali's sister for a while.You will fall in love with the songs played there.

I Agree with Appa here how does a lil advertisement of Retro Cafe Bother people those who don't like it can ignore it but we have few people on If who do wanna know what new is happening and if 3-4 people on IF do post it why we have problems 😕 I never knew about Retro Cafe till i read one of the posts by these members
