I just think this section takes things too seriously than most of indian forums itself. I only found this tobe trus as I began visiting other sections.At ist I thought maybe Indianforumns had its own unique rules since I serve the web alot and visit many sites indian and american(intellectual, and non-intellectual).

When I ventured to other sectiions out of sa re ga ma pa I saw atmosphere relaxing, yet not as tight knit as we are here, so maybe why things get out ofcontrol.

Angie.. I don't know if this forum has the most members on IF, but I do know that we have the most addicted members on IF, by far. So some rules and restrictions need to be there, so that everything doesn't go out of control.

That being said, I'm happy with the balance between freedom and control that we have in this forum, in general. There are bound to be certain disagreements, minor conflicts, and issues, but they are easily sorted out by discussion just like we had here.

Sorry folks, just couldn't miss on a debate so decided to pitch in with my two cents. Wish CB was here 😛

Not sure if there is any sticky for this, but if you have a choice or artiste in mind, please feel free to pm us. Retro cafe is once a week show and you can make your requests. If you would like to dedicate any song or if you would like to make a members request for a particular song, keep watching the announcements for a post by Anol. Its a new contest and we will be taking in requests there as well.

And Noted your point on the first point. Maybe we can take this offline on pms.

This thread proves once again that our music taste is going straight to hell. We can tolerate atleast 500 threads in this forum on " Who do you think is Vinit's girlfriend?", but when someone encourages others to listen to the golden collection of RD Burman it becomes a spam. Isn't it sad.

I can find atleast 50 threads in this forum where UA and BS is compared saying "Who is better", but no complains there. But when it comes to Madan Mohans songs--- Who gives a ratsa** about that. Let it play in the RetroCafe, we are not interested. We are more interested in Vinit girlfriend, Twinkle's arrogance, Twinkle's make up, Himesh's devilish powers to attract ghosts, and lot more.

Thank You Anol, Adi, Jaya, Anu, Shady, and Angie for promoting RetroCafe. I would have never known about it if you all had not promoted it so passionately. Please continue.

If we can tolerate Vinit's Girlfriend then people will have to tolerate RetroCafe too.

but it would be much simpler if u just keep the retro cafe ad on the siggy that way people will get a message even if u r posting in silly topics u have mentioned perhaps after hearing retro cafe some people will stop posting such topics

I think we can't make any hard core rules as it's not Military Academy. We are all human being & we make judgements according to our best ability, and may have differences within all of us, so until it's harmful/disrespectful for someone let us adjust little bit for everybody.

This can be never ending debate with no result but may annoy some members so please let's be more patient & things will cool down by itself.

I would just like to say that if I hadn't seen those incessent ads then I would not have subscribed to the i podcasts. I love listening to the retro cafe and wait for the new ones to come out. This being said, I understand your point but I feel that the advertising for the podcasts has been toned down since it started now that more people know about it so I don't see why there is such a huge debate about it.
