Producers Ravina Thhakur and Vinay Bhardwaj, with the guidance of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, have joined forces on a new project titled Madam Sapna. The team recently visited the Actors Truth Acting Training Centre, headed by actor and coach Saurabh Sachdeva, to align their vision for the film.
The project is based on the journey of Sapna Choudhary, a performer from Haryana who gained popularity as an orchestra dancer but faced challenges away from the stage.
Story Rooted in Reality
Madam Sapna draws its narrative from episodes of Choudhary’s personal and professional life. The film intends to explore the circumstances that shaped her, the pressures she encountered, and the determination that kept her moving. While audiences know her as a dancer and public figure, the film aims to reveal aspects of her life that are not as visible.
A Creative Collaboration

By engaging with Saurabh Sachdeva’s training centre, the makers have placed focus on authenticity in performance. The idea is to ensure that the portrayal of Choudhary and the people around her is credible and layered. With Mahesh Bhatt serving as a mentor, the project brings together multiple creative voices to construct a film that connects with a wide audience.
Larger Message Behind The Film
Although it follows the story of one woman, the film positions her struggles and persistence as symbolic of many who confront social barriers while pursuing their ambitions. Madam Sapna is expected to present both the recognition Choudhary achieved and the cost that came with it. The makers believe her path can resonate with viewers who see their own battles mirrored on screen.
As work on the film progresses, Madam Sapna sets out to be more than a biographical account. It seeks to highlight how ambition and resilience intersect, and how personal stories can spark larger conversations about dignity, survival, and the right to dream.
