I completely agree with everything you have said...I find it extremely offensive when such remarks are made on one's tehzeeb( I guess it's culture) on the basis of class, creed or status. I am an American...I am a non practiced Hindu and I believe in the freedom of expression as long as it is not misinterpreting wrong things.
What I find extremely derogatory is the repeated negative notions about the character of a western woman. How regressive a thought is this? Is India still residing in prehistoric era where a woman is still blamed for every possible thing?Recently, I read an article where one of the Indian politicians remarked that if a woman is fully clothed then there is a minimal chance of provocating a man to rape her? Who are these men who think in this manner and how dare get to be representatives of the society? It's such a shame?
I am not going to comment on Islamic rules here...but what I am going to mention is that...shouting and accusing someone repeatedly is called verbally abusing that person and it is considered as domestic violence in every religion.Originally posted by: Morning Star
Peace to all human fellows in this forum. I am always a silent reader but this time I felt the need to remind some about issues. Now Now isnt it bit hypocrisy that some people ONLY PICKED ASAD"S WORDS or behavior towards Zoya as rude remarks or whatever they called? To the level that some said " Y Asad himself is dressed in Suit?" let me kindly remind them that such reaction has been witnessed from all the leading male of all soaps n movies. They have always commented about the way the female dresses up, be it a Bollywood, Hollywood, whatever wood or darama. Coming to the point about Asad,( I wont say "I BELIEVE" cause here it is about RELIGION (especially in Islam where we as Muslims MUST follow the core laws and rules) but not my opinion or thoughts). but I would rather remind THOSE WHO BELIEVE or think Asad getting mad at Zoya is wrong to do a bit research that in Islam. Just to remind you that like one enters a firm or country, he/she needs to follow the rules if wishes to be from that nation no mater how much you dislike or disagree with it, same and even more than is ISlam . AND PLZ PLZ dnt forget there is penalty too, e.g. deport? sentence to jail? fired?.
In ISlam, a women's beauty is respected and considered precious meaning she should value her beauty and shouldnt show to strangers. Zoya's wearing jeans is not from Islamic dress code but still to some level was OK ( REMEMBER IT THAT IN ISLAM GOD"S LAW IS TO BE FOLLOWED NOT MAN MADE). So IF you get other benefits from Islam, THEN cover YOURSELF TOO no matter how wrong you think of it. Asad way of shouting at her is 100% wrong but he is right that you are not allowed to show off your assets to strangers and zoya skirt is not appropriate to be worn among ladies even.
I would request the members of the forum to do not pass THEIR POINT OF VIEW cause in Islam, even us as the followers of it, can not have our opinion in those set rules and laws commanded by God. I would say rather call Asad a short temper, one who has forgotten how to remind others about the religion or culture but please do not pass your judgements or shoot your tantrum to another religion. ONCE THere might be some religions who accept changes but in Islam, the core rules are set till eternity.
