Completely agree with you Vicky ,I am pretty much appalled by some of the posts on this forum regarding the skirt issue they are being as chauvinistic and judgemental as asad ! And please can everyone stop bringing religion into it ,whether u r a Hindu,Muslim or christian the way we practice or believe in it is different from person to person !

So far, I've seen a lot of these kind of posts and haven't commented but couldn't resist giving my 2 cents. I completely agree with everything you say in your post. While your appearance says something about you (meaning if you've dressed well or shabbily), your clothes shouldn't (even though most of the time they do). But saying that you shouldn't wear a certain item of clothing according to a religion is just plain wrong. I can't believe any religion actually has something in their history/religious books that say a person cannot wear skirts 😆 Also, when you're saying that Asad was right in shouting at her, its like saying those girls who wear short skirts, etc. deserve to get raped (obviously a deep exaggeration but felt the same way). While I personally don't wear shorts or skirts, I still believe it is a personal choice and nobody except the person should have anything to say about it. Yes, in terms of Asad's character, we knew that was gonna happen but when people in the forum are saying, it is right that he did, then I feel that particular attitude is wrong. Sorry if I hurt anyone but couldn't resist voicing my opinion/thoughts on the issue.
