I cannot comment on any other show as I only watch QH and hence am concerned with what is shown here only. I agree that the issue is pervasive, but we are starting small and with something that, as Laila has mentioned, touched a raw nerve with many of us. For now that should suffice. Thanks for commenting though =)

What a close minded reaction.

The issue is much bigger than Qubool Hai. It's about the impact such poor screenplay has on the audience. .

Unfortunately, not everyone watches every show to cite all the examples.

@rockerchic- I am not surprised some one had something silly to say, are you? Lol. You are absolutely right this is much bigger than QH or any other tv show.

@simran- if I watched any of those shows I would definitely have an issue if the woman were abused.

We aren't trashing the show or the actors. In fact most of us here enjoyed the story lines (except the slap) and are maybe intrigued by the mystery. I am so glad Laila wrote this and sent it because women aren't doormats for men to wipe their feet on. There shouldn't be an excuse for violence. Period. End off.

I am glad you decided to do something about it! And this should be done everywhere where the women are shown victimized physically in the name of romance -.- But I don't really expect the BCCC to act though..

There have been worse things being shown with no remorse-

1)The horrifying sequence of burying a girl live because she riled the Father and the groom and the Panchayat what about highlighting these too?

2) Akram kidnapping Zoya because his ego was hurt and forcing her to marry him...

3) Raziya plotting and planning how to get her daughter married...

Besides the slap which was unnecessary to show- Asad could have vent his anger and fear against the wall like they showed in DMG...all the above issues need to be addressed too!

Fair points, all. But no one justified those incidents. Everyone unequivocally agreed it was wrong. Here the majority is working overtime to justify Asad and his (mis)actions... Moreover, we want to raise issue about a very specific point, the romanticization of violence in the show and none of your above stated points, through grevious and equally serious in its own right, make the cut.
