What a close minded reaction.

The issue is much bigger than Qubool Hai. It's about the impact such poor screenplay has on the audience. .

Unfortunately, not everyone watches every show to cite all the examples.

Well said!

Kriti,
Lets not get personal here... especially if we don't have anything to contribute in a sane rational way as mature adults.

I cannot fathom why members are arguing against this? Please peeps, this complaint is simply trying to raise awareness that such sensitive and serious issues cannot be merely brushed off by a cup of bitter coffee. Nobody is blaming the actors so no need to defend your favourites. This letter is directed predominantly to the creatives whom are responsible for the characterization of their own fictional characters and is therefore responsible for every action depicted onscreen.

You can agree or disagree about whether Asad was wrong in slapping Zoya. That is your own opinion but it's absolutely appalling and downright scary that members are actually romanticizing the act. Who the hell witnesses a slap and thinks 'Grrr look at those biceps when he flexes'. It almost looks like you're drooling about the angle of the slap, or the fact that his fingers touched her skin. *OOH sizzling right?* = \

Next minute, I'm expecting fanatics to crawl to the television screen and sing 'Mitwaaa' in a creepy obsessed voice to make up for the lack of 'romantic background music' during the slap scene.

Fair points, all. But no one justified those incidents. Everyone unequivocally agreed it was wrong. Here the majority is working overtime to justify Asad and his (mis)actions... Moreover, we want to raise issue about a very specific point, the romanticization of violence in the show and none of your above stated points, through grevious and equally serious in its own right, make the cut.

WORD! The point this letter tries to make is romanticisation of violence is not acceptable, like you said Aalia.

Thanks for your show of support! Loved what you said especially the highlighted parts.

And the last paragraph had me in splits! Love your wicked sense of humour! 😆 🤣

i so agree 👏 its not the actor or actress thing

its about who create them and what creativity is described on them

so yes i thinks its all about poor screenplay and poor creativity

Amazing job done.
There will be many people who say that we are taking a television serial too seriously, but the impact of such scenes is very great on impressionable teenage girls, who feel abuse is acceptable if a guy is hot. This can actually trigger a cycle of violence in their life also,
I really wish Indian television shows women character with high self esteem.
Your letter is the first step in a long drawn fight.
Kudos to you and will support you always.

No need to thank me! 😊 I'm only supporting righteousness like all the good Parvati heroines in every show.

Hope some sarcasm could bring some sense to certain people. 😆

Haha! 😆

Btw, I love all your posts... They're hilarious! The recent one on "would you fall for Asad in real life?" highlights exactly what Laila pointed out... There are actually people who are ok with an Asad in their lives... Talk about impressionable folks being influenced.

Scary and a cause for worry. 😭
