Some fan fiction is actually pretty good - I find them to be even better than the show themselves. I have some favorites and love their writing..I even like their characterization of Asad and Zoya better and I am amazed at some of the amazing wit for these amateur writers. Of course there are only a few favorites that I have...you are right - making changes is not about simply switching a channel...

Exactly, we are not against the show. This about creating awareness about an issue that plagues our country. If they had even shown Asad truly repenting the story would have been better. This guilt should not have been made into an opportunity for romance. What it needed was a heartfelt apology, true regret and a visible change/effort to change his behavior.

This may not bring about any change but at least I feel like we stood up for a cause and if anything it will spread awareness.

Fan fiction can also be disgusting. Po*n will pale in comparison.

I've had the misfortune to stumble across some truly disgusting ones. As long as there is a medium, there will be close minded people.

Especially on a site like IF, where the moderation is biased.

What a close minded reaction.

The issue is much bigger than Qubool Hai. It's about the impact such poor screenplay has on the audience. .

Unfortunately, not everyone watches every show to cite all the examples.
