I agree completely with you. I would want Gul to read this letter so that you she could keep all this in mind while taking the track forward. Your topics are so to the point ones. Good one 👍🏼

It's been a while since I wrote you a letter, the last one wasn't pretty and I do apologize for that.

Qubool Hai has invoked a lot emotions in me and I do respond, react to your characters. Whether it be the straight laced Asad, the free spirited Ayaan, the strong Zoya, the innocent Hemeira- I do care deeply for these characters.

But as a viewer and your fan, I do have a bit of advice for you.

Rape.

Mercy Killings.

Infidelity.

Forced marriages.

Dowry

I do understand that with QH you want to tell a story that's bigger than just romance and first love. But while this is very good for Indian Television, I hope you tread the grounds carefully.

What I want to see from QH is a mature story which deals with these very real issues in an emotional way that will make an impact on the audience.

Marium is a rape victim. And even if you're going to show her for five minutes I would like to see the character' s difficult emotions, the pain because women never(fully) recover from such a heinous experience.

Further Zoya was buried alive and for me that entire sequence was so breathtakingly emotional and I felt the horror and pain of both Asad and Zoya.

What I would like to see is the impact that has on Zoya again on a mental level. Like maybe a fear of enclosed spaces or something like that, you come up with it you're the creator.

Humeira' s suicide I hope isn't brushed aside. It shows how weak her mind is and knowing that India is on top of the list of suicide cases under 25, I think a social message from this angle would also be welcomed.

I can see that you have big plans and big ideas by taking up so many social issues. I hope that in due time (I' m not asking immediately or at the same time) you do come back to these issues one by one and actually give the audience something to think about.

I not only appreciate what u stated but i completely agree on these sentiments.. Today tv is such a major channel of spreading awarness n with such a brilliant caste n story line they can actually take up these issues n reach out to millions of homes.. please do adhere to these suggestions.. all d best..

and Rockerchic thanku for making such a wonderful post.. i hope they do listen to it..:) they have let go of such a wonderful opportunity post the Mangalpur fiasco that im unable to understand the naivety of the makers or do they think that the viewers arnt mature enf..so i hope the show becomes a true medium of positivity..:)

I sooo agree with u...sorry guys don't want to say it but history repeating itself for the 3rd time for me:(

I hate it that after such intense scenes instead of some well deserved emotional scenes we get comedy scenes in Gul's shows . It just ruins the prevoius intense drama for me :(

👏 You said all that I've thought about ever since I watched any QH episode after the Mahasangam. Albeit in a much politer way, sans the profanities 😆

The thing is viewers did not ask them to show the serious and may I add heinous issues that they have depicted. They showed it of their own accord and now they need to do justice to it, by using the experience of the characters respective ordeals to show how they have progressed emotionally. All I wish for is character progression that is believable and is coherent and comes as a result of the above that you have outlined. The romance track is progressing fine, there is character development in Asad romantically or for that matter Zoya as well, but Jeez Mariam is a rape victim. Show her at least a bit emotionally scarred after the experience (yes I am being sarcastic here). I am not liking this pattern at all, forced, inane comic tracks such as the one we are being shown right now, just dilute the intensity that the emotional sequences make on the viewer. Don't go all serious, but a bit of balance is needed for. And I will really appreciate it if the PH quit this habit of forcing inane comedic tracks on us, STRAIGHT AFTER brilliant, intense, emotional tracks like the one in Mangalpur. In doing so they are seriously undermining their own previous brilliant effort.

No one's asking for these issues to take centre-stage. Just show your characters affected and even changed by it, even the tiniest bit. Otherwise stop addressing such significant issues just for the heck of it.

A wonderful post, RC! I think I am becoming your fan!😆 So true what you wrote about Mariam and Zoya. About Humaira, I think she is weak yet strong. It's not so easy to go against your parents when you are from a very orthodox Muslim family. Yet she did. She even went against her own heart's desire and that is never easy.

Missed your post yesterday. I was looking for it.😊

First Very very very good post. 👍🏼 👏 👏

What I would like to see is the impact that has on Zoya again on a mental level. Like maybe a fear of enclosed spaces or something like that, you come up with it you're the creator.

I want this. Each and everyone wants this. But its just a night they have spend till now after coming back from Mangalpur.
Hopefully CVs wont disappoint us. Cause this will be a great scene for all AsYa lovers and also AsYa's story 😉 😆 ☺️

Yes it is so essential to not show all these ills plaguing our society in such a superficial manner...their must be a bigger message to the youth on why this is wrong and how to tread the right path!
Punishment, Retribution and Redemption are required to be highlighted!
