To be very honest this is escapist 20 minute entertainment dose for me everyday. I don't particularly care to see all the issues you mentioned being tackled in QH. Because I have very little faith that these issues could be well executed. Instead of making a mess/ dragging these issues i would rather they are swept under the rug and the series maintain the quality level it is showing till now. I have come to know that there are a lot of limitations and constraints in Indian dramas and I hope this drama excels within the very narrow range it has. I hope you didnt take my view in the wrong way and i loved your post but thinking out of the box is not really the name of the game here.

*just my opinions* and i love reading your takes on the episodes

Another good point. I guess that's one of the reasons I have not expected much else from this show and ignored the fact the writing team never even touched on the seriousness of these issues - even slightly - as this is never well handled in dramas.

Nice post..
I do hope too they just take these issues to add to exisiting story, they should show the raw deal and real solution..
For starters:
Like in Mariyum, her pain was apparent on her wedding day, and now agree fear of getting killed subsided that pain, but hopefully tomorrow, she could herself tell the fact to Dilshaad and show the real face of her Abbu she respects..
Zoya, I still dont think she know she was burried alive. She knows she was near death and Asad saved her, but even if she consiously doesn;t remember, unconsciously she must know it. I wish she screams in her dream reliving those moments and they show her coming to term with it...
I hate serials where they show wonder drug or treatment for these issues with no emotional affect on them or their near ones really.
So far I am ok, but going forward they have to close the loops that are opened with more sensibility towards real victims..

Great post. The emotional aspects of the social issues they highlight should be shown a bit more. Now that Mariyam is in Asad's house, it would be wonderful to see something like at least a conversation between Mariyam and Zoya(or between Zoya and Asad once he learns about Mariyam's presence) in which they talk about Mariyam's and Zoyas's experience in an emotional way.. rather than just using the presence of Mariyam as a base for humour. .. Humor is also needed but so are the emotional touches..why don't you post this on forum32? Gul will definitely see then hehe.😃

Agree completely!

I would add one more to your list.

Asad saw Zoya being buried alive, then had to go through the trauma of searching for her like a madman, screaming in frustration, dealing with the fact that she might be dead because of him and eventual flood of relief in seeing her alive. All of this has got to take an emotional toll on him at some level. I mean, those scenes were portrayed with such charged emotion that it made a mark. That traumatic event has to haunt Asad in some way, I don't know, maybe he has nightmares about searching for Zoya?

(Btw, the romantic angle with Asad is being handle very well. His emotions flooded out and now is confused and avoiding his feelings and Zoya, which is a very realistic reaction going by Asad's characterization.)

All of the points you mentioned about Maryam, Zoya, Humera and Asad here, are serious emotional issues, which were portrayed well. But, if the after-effects aren't shown, it sort of lessens and even trivializes the impact of such emotional and sensitive subjects.
