‘Unhe Vishwas hi nahi hota’: Gaurav Gera says people FAILED to recognise him in Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar introduced several memorable characters that caught the audience’s attention after its release. One such character was Mohammad Aalam, the Doodh Soda seller whose brief appearance became widely discussed among viewers. The character’s look, especially the heavy beard, made it difficult for many people to identify the actor behind it. Even after the film became popular, several viewers were surprised to discover who actually played the role.

That actor is Gaurav Gera, who recently appeared on the quiz based reality show Wheel of Fortune hosted by Akshay Kumar. During the episode, Gera recreated the well known Doodh Soda scene from the film, bringing back the moment that audiences had strongly associated with the character.

Speaking about how people react when they learn it was him behind Mohammad Aalam, Gera shared that many still struggle to recognize him because of the disguise used in the film. “Bahut saare log toh pehchaan hi nahi paate dadi ke wajah se. Unhe vishvaas hi nahi hota ki woh main hi tha,” he said while talking about the response he often receives from viewers.

Akshay Kumar responded with a playful suggestion during the conversation. The host joked that Gera should carry the same beard with him to solve the problem. “Ek nakli dadi le kar ghuma karo. Jab koi pehchaane nahi toh fataak se laga diya karo haan bhai, main hoon!” he said, prompting laughter on the show.
