Hiring international technical team is not the same as hiring female models or actresses who cannot act in the language. They are hired because they are able to do the job. And plenty of Indians are also employed in the technical fields in the Industry.
The actresses on the other hand, cannot act in the languages the films are made in. Hollywood too has its own problems and issues when it comes to race and ethnicity, which I will not go into at this point. I will just make the comparison regarding these "imported" actresses in the Indian industries. In Hollywood, actors in are required to act in the language the script requires (which is almost always English in Hollywood). They don't hire French actresses and tell her, we will dub you in English for this English language film. Either the actress will act in English, or the role requires her to speak French. See the difference?
What the Indian industries do (as well as China, HK and Taiwan sometimes as well) is allow for these actresses to act in films without actually having to act in the language.
Non Indian technology? So every country only uses technology that only they discovered? Technology and science are now globalized. Hell, it was globalized even before Globalization.
(PS. i am aware that dubbing is not limited to the imports, but also Indian actresses and actors as well, which is part of the reason why it's so easy for this to happen in Indian industries.)
And all this is coming from someone who doesn't even dislike Kat. In fact, I kind of like her and enjoy some of her song picturizations. And if any of she or any of the other actresses fit good NRI roles, or roles of Non Indians and do a good job in acting, I have no problem. It's stupid shit like Amy Jackson in EDT that's the problem.
