I really admire the character of Kumud, but am having trouble getting past her sense of style. (or lack of!!)
I am being purely objective here, is her dress considered acceptable in the home and school?
Isn't she dressed more for the beach? (minus the skirt).
Please don't get me wrong, I not aware of traditional gujarati customs. And her dress may be a reflection of that society. But other female characters are not dressed in bikini tops, so I am bit confused about the mixed massages being relayed here.
Or is her dress just for the titillation?
what is the target audience for the soaps anyway? 18-25 year old men? Are they watching while doing arm curls at the gym?

There nothingn wrong with kumuds blouse (which its called) the only thing its backless. But its not short or does not have a very low neckline. I have seen actress (in shows) wearing shorter blouses and lower neck line. Yeah its kina weird that she has such a backless blouse. But theres nothing wrong with it

I guess as you point out, it is a show and there is a difference between real and reel.
However, I am having trouble taking Kumud seriously, even when her awesome character demands respect and dignity.
All I see is her itsy-bitsy blouse, bare back and navel covered with a see-through dupatta

I agree with the TM ... if her dress is the traditional version, then y are her sisters not dressed in a similar way ... wired, agree they may want to show the lead glamorous... but it still disturbs to view at times

I have seen conservative women wear it. Unless itz a saree (ghagra incase of Gujrati's) itz ok. In every day life, women wear such deep blouses. Why make a fuss for a character shown on tv?

I like most of the colour combinations that Kumud wears... but yes, the short backless blouses seem weird esp since she is supposed to be a conservative girl belonging to a traditional family. And it looks odd since she is the only female character wearing such revealing blouses. And they are definitely not appropriate when teaching at a school...

I cent percent agree with TM.Being a gujju, atleast we don't wear such obscene dresses and forget about rural ppl..they are way more traditional.I understand Jenny has got a good figure, but why to make her flaunt her curves in a family show?😕and that see-through dupatta whats with it mahn?Anyday Gujjus will prefer bandhani dupattas rather than thatThe second thing how come Kusum is given such a decent wear then?seriously,a good change is needed.
