Swayam was cycling on an empty road when this song began from his phone.He blushed deeply.He had set this ringtone only for Sharon just as she had so they knew when the other person was calling. He stopped the cycle on the side of the road and picked up the phone.
"Where are you ? Its already 10 o'clock , the professor is going to come in anytime soon " , Sharon's exasperated voice came out in a whisper but her irritation was clearly visible
"Sorry , sorry alarm didnt go off today , I am on my way , just a min away from -- " Sharon had already cut the call. Swayam didnt mind . He knew it was probably because the professor entered . Ever since the "Sorry" incident , their Accounts professor had been very strict about mobiles.
Swayam reached the college ,parked his bicycle on the stand and ran into the college building. He was only two mins late so the professor allowed him in. Sharon had saved a seat for him.It had taken her a lot of convincing to make Simmi and Rinni sit away from her.
Swayam smiled at her. She smiled back. Ever since their first date , the equation between them had changed.Throughout the class, they kept looking at each other rather than at their books.Discreetly of course, because their trial relationship was a secret.
After class , Swayam picked up his bag and got out of the seat. Suddenly he heard Sharon say in a loud, obnoxious voice " Swayam mujhe tumse zaroori baat karni hai ". Her voice was harsh , her face showed irritation but her eyes showed her soft side.
Everyone else gave Swayam a sympathetic look. Bechara , everyday he has to suffer the brunt of Sharon's wrath. No one knew that he enjoyed this actually because these moments together were the highlight of the day.
Sharon led him to an empty classroom. She still had an arrogant look on her face but as soon as the door closed , she broke into a smile.
Swayam went over to her and looked into her beautiful eyes.They resembled pea bogs.He had heard that peabogs were used in olden times to find out if someone was lying or not. However, anybody who stepped into the peabog got sucked into it and died so that was kind of a flop tactic.
But Swayam didnt mind being sucked permanently into Sharon's eyes..His eyes went down to her nose, her lips ..everything was perfect. A strand of her hair was fluttering in the breeze.He slowly reached out and tucked it behind her left ear.He held her face in his hands.
Sharon looked up at him shyly.But then she realised what she had called him here for.
" Swayam i want to tell you something ".
"Yes of course, tell me ."
" Swayam, I am tired of this trial relationship.Its too difficult to hide our relationship from the others. Even Rinni has become suspicious these days. There is so much pressure over studies and college responsibilties , I dont think i can take the pressure of keeping this relationship a secret ."
Swayam was shocked.What was happening? He had never expected this. His hands slowly withdrew from her face. He couldnt believe what he had just heard.
"So its better if we just---"
"You're right Sharon , we should go back to being only friends or rather, should i say you being the C.S , my boss and I the A.G.S . I dont want this relation ship to end but your wish is my command.I can never go against your decision."
" Wha- Whaat? Are you crazy Swayam? What are you saying ? Have you gone mad ? I dont want to break up with you !! "
"You dont? "
"Of course not silly. I think its time we make this relationship official. I love you , you love me and I am ready now. "
Swayam's eyes grew wide. Was that Sharon talking?
Sharon's eyes went down. She had thought a lot about this last night and she had finally come up with this decision. The past few weeks which she had spent in Swayam's company had been amazing. She had never felt this way before. He made her feel so secure, so safe , so happy. Whenever she saw him , her stomach turned queasy . No, it was not stomach pain . It was love. And if this was love , Sharon was ready.
Just then the bell rang.
"So do u agree?"
"Yes, yes, of course..Our love should not remain a secret."
They looked into each other's eyes. But Sharon broke the daze quickly.
"Ok , I'll go to class first and you come later. We will tell all of them today after college."
Swayam smiled and handed her bag to her.
She smiled back and walked out of the classroom.
