"Kuch nai kitna hua ? Ye lo'thank you"
Swayam picked up the beautifully decorated basket containing
assorted fruits , health drinks and dry fruits. Sharon had instructed him to
pick up one because her father , Mr Rai Prakash was a health freak.
Swayam's hands were shaking.He was very very nervous.He didn't
want to blow this chance of getting into Mr Rai Prakash's good books. First
impression is the last impression after all.
Pehla nasha , pehla

"Hello ?"
"U got it?"
"Ya its stocked up with goodies."
"What '.i told u na-"
"Arre I mean health goodies ya chill baba"
"Hmm ok anyways u got your college student id card na?"
"Yes madam."
"And three passport size photographs?"
"Yes'"
"And a colour Xerox of your birth certificate ??"
"Sharon..chill sweety
everythings there don't worry'I'll be there in 15 mins."
"Ok,ok see you soon'"
"Bye."
Swayam put the phone in his
pocket and got into his car.He would have preferred to ride his cycle but
Sharon had pleaded with him to come in the car so obviously he could not say
no. He took and deep breath and started the car.

<p>Ting tong.
Swayam's stomach had
twisted into tiny little knots. He was excited,scared,anxious all at the same
time! I guess love does that to a person.
"Aap kaun?"
"Main Swayam, Sharon ka..uh dost.."
"Toh aap hain Swayam . Bahut suna hai aap ke bare mein.Ek
minute..Sharon Baba'aapka dost aaya hain"
Ramu Kaka came back and signaled to Swayam to follow him.He
led him into a bright room , very artistically decorated.
A middle-aged , extremely fit but slightly balding man sat
on one of the two wooden chairs placed on side of the room. Sharon was seated
on the sofa next to him. Both of them stood up when Swayam entered.Swayam's
eyes went to her and he was mesmerized. She always did that to him. He forgot
time,place , everything when he looked into her eyes.She was wearing a
yellowish golden dress and matching heels.She looked beautiful.
Swayam didn't realize he had been staring at Sharon for so
long until he heard a loud cough. He turned slowly towards Mr Rai Prakash ,clearly
embarrassed.In an attempt to make amends, he smiled and extended the basket
towards him.
Mr Rai Prakasj stiffly took the basket and set it on the
coffee table. He indicated to Swayam to sit down. Just then a very beautiful
lady entered the room.
Her features were very similar to Sharon's. Big eyes ,
shaped eyebrows , perfect figure and glowing complexion . She smiled warmly at
Swayam but her eyes showed that she was observing every movement of his.
"So tell me Swayam , do you work anywhere after college ?
Like as an intern ? Do you have any hobbies that you pursue ? "
"Uh, yes sir actually I work as in intern at ISBC Bank. Its
a 6 month programme , after 6 months , if they find my work upto the mark , I
will become an employee and will be given a starting salary of Rs. 20,000 a
month.
"Hmm, that's very good , Swayam ".
"Thank you Sir "
Sharon's mother who had been staring at Swayam till now
broke into a smile. Rs. 20000 for a nineteen yr old boy was pretty good.
Sharon's father too eased up a little. The tension seemed to
be breaking. Swayam spoke quite confidently and they were impressed.
"Well frankly speaking Swayam , you're a very nice boy.
We've heard a lot about you from Sharon . But , you are a teenage boy after all
. I've been a teenage boy and I know what men go through that phase ..Excuse me
for being crude , but what you feel for Sharon , is it love or lust ? "
Swayam's mouth fell open and he turned pale. Seeing his
expression, Sharon couldn't control herself and burst into giggles.Only
Sharon's mom didn't look too pleased .
"What are you saying , ji ? How can you say that ? All men
are not the same. How can u say what you did is what Swayam does. And what do
you mean by that anyway ? "
Now , it was Mr Rai Prakash's turn to turn red.
"Kuch nai ji , I am just asking him. Nothing else. I mean it
is very normal.In fact it would be abnormal if he is thinking of marriage and
serious relationships."
Mrs Rai Prakash frowned at her husband .
" Sir , what I feel for Sharon I have never felt for anyone
before. I promise to take care of her forever. If being in love is abnormal,
then I would rather be abnormal "
Sharon's dad smiled wide.
"Swayam , I would advise you to refrain from using such
cheesy lines. They don't suit young boys like you . I understand your feelings
for Sharon are deep but please don't try
to act like Raj from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge " Sharon's mother said.
"In case you forgot , these " cheesy " lines were what made
you fall for me " , Sharon's dad added grinning.
They both stared at each other , both blushing deeply .
Grabbing the opportunity , Swayam too looked at Sharon who blushed and looked
down.
The look looks were interrupted by Ramu Kaka who announced
that dinner was ready .
Swayam courteously
got up and led Mrs Rai Prakash to the dining room.
Dinner was mostly spent in Sharon's dad questioning Swayam
about news, politics , stock market , etc. Sharon was quite bored. But Swayam
seemed to be enjoying himself. He answered everything very confidently. He had
that innocence in the way he behaved which assured her father that he was
perfect for his daughter.
Sharon's mother had noticed it too. The softness in his eyes
when he looked at Sharon and the way he spoke about her had convinced her more
about him that the cheesy lines had . She knew he was dependable and
trustworthy but that sheer change in his demeanour when he looked at Sharon
spoke everything which words couldn't describe.
Just before leaving , Sharon's parents nodded at each other
before going in to their room so that Sharon and Swayam could spend some time
together.
"Thanks a lot for today. I mean , I know, you were scared
but u still did it for me. Thanks.It means a lot to me ." She said looking up
into his eyes. She began stroking his jet black hair.
"You know I would do anything for you , Sharon. My world
revolves around you. " . He stared back at her, their bodies close to each
other.
" Ok now go , its late . See you tomorrow in college ." She
smiled warmly.
Ok if u say so then ill go . I wouldn't have minded standing
here for the rest of the night . But you ' "[/P]
[P]"Arre ok ok baba now go bye " She said , lightly pushing
him.
"Bye sweetheart, I love you "
"I...I...I..um...love you too " She said softly.
