Swaron's first date :
"That string of lights doesnt look like a U it looks like a V do it
again!! " He told the technician's lazy worker who was putting up the
lights. Swayam wanted this to be perfect, just like Sharon.He loved her
more than anything else and he wanted to go all out in making this night
her most memorable one.
Suddenly, he looked down and realised he hadnt changed yet.He rushed to
the men's washroon to dress up. He had bought a black tux to wear. His
mom said he looked extremely handsome in that . He had also ordered for a
bunch of red roses.
After changing, he went outside to the balcony to check out the lights.
From one end of the balcony to the other, the words " I LOVE YOU SWARON "
were spelt out by the lights. Swayam was very eager to see his
beloved's reaction.
He glanced down at his watch and realised it was nearly 7 o'clock.He had
sent his driver to pick up Sharon. He would have preferred picking her
up himself but he wanted to make sure everything was perfect for that
date.
He dismissed the workers and set about lighting the candle on the table.
Luckily there was no wind that night so the candle did not blow off. He
had booked the entire restaurant for the date. It was Sharon's
favourite 5- Star restaurant in Mumbai.
Suddenly his phone vibrated and then stopped.It was a missed call from
his driver which meant Sharon was on her way up. He adjusted his suit
and tie, checked to make sure everything was ok and then went to stand
at the doorway. He had laid a red carpet near the door.
Suddenly he heard her heels clicking and her beautiful fragrance stunned
him. She appeared there in front of him, looking like an angel in a
beautiful red dress. She hadnt worn a lot of make up , just a little
kajal and some blush and lipstick but she had never looked so beautiful
before. His eyes went down to her beautiful lips which had now parted as
she took in the sight in front of her. She wore the silver necklace he
had gifted her, with SS inscribed on it. The lights shone on her making
her beautiful face light up even more.She was an angel sent down by God
from heaven only for him .
He was staring at her with his mouth open and eyes wide that he didnt
realise she was laughing. He quickly got out of his trance and took her
hands in his and kissed them..They smelled just like lavender.Lovely
He took her to the table , pulled out a chair and seated her. All the
while , she was gazing at the lights . Tears were brimming in her eyes.
Noone had ever done anything like this for her before.She tried to
control her tears but they wouldnt stop. When the first tear fell from
her eye and ran down her cheek , Swayam immediately went over to her
and wiped it away. He sat on his knees next to her and held her hands.
They both stared at each other for a long time.
Swayam couldnt believe how lucky he was.Two years ago he could have only
imagined this in his dreams. He still couldnt believe that the most
beautiful girl in the universe was sitting next to him with her hands in
his.
Suddenly Sharon grabbed Swayam by his hair and pulled him close to her.
They were only a couple of centimetres away from each other..She
silently took his face in her hands and pecked him on his cheeks. They
were lost in each others eyes. Nobody else mattered. They were the only
two people on this earth and it belonged to them.
Swayam broke the staring competition by going over to the music systen
he had arranged on the side. He slipped the CD into the player and then
went over to her and said " Dance " .
Sharon smiled, blushing deeply as she put her hands in his and stood up.
He gently took her to the middle of the floor and turned on the player.
It was a slow dance , one of her favourite songs. Sharon's face
immediately lit up even brighter than the lights hung. Again, Swayam was
lost in her beauty. She put her right hand on his shoulder, he slipped
his right hand around her. The music started and they began moving slowly to the beat. They were lost in each other.
How long they danced for no one knew. They lost track of time as they moved closer and closer to each other. They were so busy that they didnt notice that it had begun to rain.
It began pouring heavily but they didnt care..The lights fused out and the table was all wet. The music player also conked off but that didnt stop they from dancing..Their heart beats were the music to their dance.
They would have continued dancing there if the manager of the restaurant had not come and started banging on the door.The didnt even hear him initially but when the banging grew louder, Swayam finally snapped out of his haze and went over to open the door.
Sharon too broke out of her daze.She couldnt believe it.She had never been so close to any guy before.And what she felt right now, this strange feeling, she had never felt before.
The next few minutes went by in a daze . They were taken down and given towels. It had stopped raining by then but that food was all spoilt. They hadnt realised till now but they were really really hungry.
Swayam felt very bad. What a bad ending to a perfect date! There wouldnt even be any 5 star restaurant which was not full at this time! It was past 10 o'clock!
Seeing Swayam's worried expression, Sharon felt really bad. He had taken so much effort and how lovely this evening was..She didnt want him to feel bad.
She gently took his hand and led him out of the restaurant and across the road to the chaat shop .Swayam was shocked ! What was Sharon the Diva doing taking him to a chaat shop. She ordered a light snack for both of them and then took him over to a couple of chairs placed. Swayam was confused - What was going on ? Sharon smiled and looking down ,said " It doesnt matter where we have dinner , as long as we are togther " . She looked up to see Swayam smiling down at her and she blushed uncontrollably.
The food arrived and they both fed each other the snack. The shop was not deserted but they were in their own world. Once or twice Swayam dropped the food down while trying to feed Sharon. He was so lost in her.
After dinner , he drove her home. They were silent on the way back , thinking about their date. While getting out of the car, Sharon bent over and pecked his cheek. Swayam's breathing stopped again. He pinched himself , no , this was not a dream.
After saying bye , he started the car again. Suddenly his phone beeped . It was a message from Sharon . It said " I love you too". Swayam smiled.The perfect ending to the perfect date
