Which Singham was better? Tamil or Hindi?

I haven't seen either.

If you could watch only one, which version would you watch- the original Tamil Singam with Surya and Anushka or Hindi version with Ajay and Kajal?

Of the South remakes I've seen where I had also seen the original, I've always liked the original better. Is it the case with this too?

I haven't seen the Tamil one but I know even if I would have seen it.. I would still say Singham. Somehow I have never really liked South movies.. like I had seen the South version of Bhool Bhulaiyya but didn't like it at all while Bhool Bhulaiyya was brilliant.

I am sorry I usually don't post here but had to because of the Bhool Bhulaiyya bit, the orginial version was the National award winning Malayalama Mani Chitra Thazhu with National Award winners Mohanlal and Shobana and Bhool Bhulaiyya cannot even be compared to that, if you are comparing it with the Tamil or Kannada versions, you have a point!

As for Singham, Tamil is better but I love Surya so it could be my bias :)

Singham in tamil was way better than the hindi version with all songs being superhit too
Tastes do differ with every region while i feel manichitra tazh in malayalam was the best but chamdramukhi in tamil was far far better than bhool bhulaiya , IMO
are rajni & akki even comparable ?

The only remake I liked better than the original.. Ajay Devgan's Baji Rao Singhm act was supremely entertaining.. I loved it..

even though Tamil Singham's songs were excellent and heroine had a tad bit of more role..

Hmm, so the verdict is mixed.

I saw Chandramukhi after seeing Bhool Bhulaiya and didn't even see the original Malayalam one. The thing with watching remakes is that the second one you watch is never as exciting since you know the story. Chandramukhi is a really good movie, but I wasn't as excited as I was while watching Hindi remake, since I knew what would happen. My mom actually found Chandramukhi funny!

I stopped watching Wanted after first fifteen minutes because I had seen Pokiri. I watched the songs, and even though I think Salman did a good job, I felt bored because each scene was the exact copy of Pokiri. And I think Mahesh Babu did a better job with the role. And Pokiri had Prakash Raj too and no one can play a villain like him.

Same with Ready, I didn't even bother because I had seen Telugu Ready.

Now I'm leaning more towards the Tamil Singham. I know Hindi version got excellent reviews but have never been the biggest fan of Ajay. And I'm on Kajal Aggarwal overload lately because the last three Telugu films I watched all had her as heroine (Maghadheera, Arya 2, Darling). If I see another Kajal Aggarwal movie, I might just puke.

@Bold- So true. Bhool Bhulaiya was a huge disappointment. I had expected so much of it. I loveed the Malayalam version and the Hindi one was a total let down. =\
