Kangana Ranaut celebrates ‘Pehli Teej’ with Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, calls her ‘Badi Bahen’

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut celebrated Teej with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at her residence. The actor turned politician shared pictures from the gathering on social media, offering a glimpse of the celebrations.

Kangana described the occasion as her “pehli Teej” and addressed Rekha Gupta as her “badi bahen”. Sharing pictures from the event, she wrote, “Meri pehli Teej ka tyohaar, Rekha didi ke ghar pe, sach mein ek badi bahen ka payaar aur dular bilkul ghar jaisa apnapan. Sabko teej ki anek shubhkamnaein.”

The pictures showed Kangana and Rekha Gupta participating in the festivities with other women. They were seen dancing together and later sitting on a swing. Kangana also joined the traditional celebrations as she got mehndi applied to her hands.

For the occasion, Kangana opted for a green silk saree with an orange peach pallu. The saree featured floral and nature inspired motifs along with a contrasting pink toned border. She paired the traditional outfit with a choker necklace, matching earrings and bangles. A red bindi and neatly tied hair completed her look, while mehndi added to the festive appearance.

Kangana also extended Teej wishes to women across the country through her social media post. Her celebration with the Delhi chief minister comes as the actor continues to balance her political work with her film career.

Kangana, who represents Mandi in the Lok Sabha, has remained in the news for her political statements in recent weeks. She has also faced criticism over remarks linked to Gen Z protesters.

On the work front, Kangana is set to reunite with R Madhavan for an upcoming psychological thriller. The two previously appeared together in Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Meanwhile, her film Bharat Bhhagya Vidhata is also set to arrive on OTT after its theatrical release.

The Teej gathering brought together two public figures from politics and entertainment, with Kangana choosing to highlight the personal warmth she associated with the celebration.
